“It’s changed my life.” Army veteran, Paul, developed a spinal condition that left him with very limited mobility to do many of the things he loved. Thanks to our support, we were able to fund his mobility scooter and get him back on the moors with his dogs.

Today is Armed Forces Day – a chance to say thank you to all those serving. From peacekeeping to humanitarian aid and emergency response, their work protects us at home and abroad. Their service and sacrifice must never be forgotten.

Today marks 85 years since the sinking of HMT Lancastria – the worst maritime disaster in British history. Over 3,500 lives were lost when the ship was bombed and sank during the evacuation from France. We remember the lives lost and the courage and sacrifice of those who served.
