Okay, I can't resist. Hey, @grok, who was the most famous person to visit my profile? It doesn't need to be a mutual, don't tag them, just say who it was.
The whole Barrett thing has been so interesting to watch. It's clear that the ACNA is an unknown entity to most baptists.
JC Ryle is usually on the short list of authors people get when they first discover "Calvinism," "Reformed Theology," or the Puritans. People know he's a bishop, but what they don't know is that he was an Anglican. Like for real. It's true. No foolin. A🧵on Ryle and the liturgy.
Recently Dr. Matthew Barrett, now of @TASeminary, joined us at our 2025 Missions Conference and synod, where Bishop Julian Dobbs interviewed him about the importance of the Nicene Creed, the church fathers, the 39 Articles, and more: youtu.be/OYXJ4ZKPHMc?fe…
I’ll say this: to become Anglican is not to apostatize Nor is it just one step on the way to Rome I’m not Anglican, but Anglicanism is a legitimate Reformational trad Everyone chill with the hysterics
learning a lot about evangelical views on Anglicanism today
It seems fitting to remind folks that the Anglican tradition includes JC Ryle, CS Lewis, John Stott, JI Packer, etc. Also, Billy Graham said that, if he could do it all over again, he'd be an evangelical Anglican (with his good friend Stott).
I don't know if it's the greatest, but it's always the first one that comes to my mind. I love it.
What’s the greatest opening scene in movie history?
What a joy and privilege it is to preach Christ to God’s people, to place upon their heads the waters of baptism and into their hands the bread and cup of the Lord’s Supper, gifts from Jesus himself.
Christian, did you confess the Nicene Creed liturgically this Lord’s Day?

This is a bizarre and straight up incorrect. It contradicts @The_ACNA’s canons, as well as our BCP at multiple points.
On the 4th day of @The_ACNA Bishop Ruch's trial, while there has been no update on the trial itself, the Province has posted a new document on its trial webpage. "A bishop's job is to lead the clergy of the diocese, not to oversee the activity of individual churches," it says.

I was not prepared to see R.C. Sproul in a turtleneck+button-up this morning.
Young R.C. Sproul preaching.
Children are not ‘the future’ of the church. By virtue of their baptism, they are every bit part of its ‘present’ as any adult.
Excellent thread.
This has appeared on my feed a number of times here and, while I am not an Anglican, it resonated with me because it is the story of a parish I took on just last September. A parish I very quickly came to love. (1)

Annual friendly reminder: #PrimeDay was originally a pagan holiday until Emperor Constantine invented Amazon at the Council of Nicaea in 1776.
