The Anglican Diocese of the Living Word

Let the Anglican Diocese of the Living Word be known as a people of resurrection hope—rooted in Scripture, shaped by the liturgical life of the Church, and filled with boldness to bear witness to the risen Christ.
ADLW mourns the passing of Rev. Charles F. "Charlie" Sutton from cancer this past Saturday. We give thanks to God for Charlie's lifetime of faithful ministry, and ask that you pray for Mary, his wife of fifty years, during this difficult time.

Recently Dr. Matthew Barrett, now of @TASeminary, joined us at our 2025 Missions Conference and synod, where Bishop Julian Dobbs interviewed him about the importance of the Nicene Creed, the church fathers, the 39 Articles, and more: youtu.be/OYXJ4ZKPHMc?fe…
Grant, O Lord, we beseech thee, that the course of this world may be so peaceably ordered by thy governance, that thy Church may joyfully serve thee in all godly quietness, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

This Sunday, we pray for Southtown's Anglican Church plant in Buffalo, NY, led by the Rev. Nick Sluyter. We pray also for the Missionary Order of St. Augustine in Japan, led by the Rev. Kevin Seaver, as well as for the ministry of the Rev. Godsgift Igbinai.

Today in Kerrville, TX, Bishop Julian Dobbs and Bishop-elect Marc Steele participated in a prayer service for families grieving lost loved ones. Here Bishop Julian is calling people to faith in Jesus.

Bishop Julian Dobbs and Bishop-elect Marc Steele were interviewed by a local radio station and offered the hope of Christ: “It’s natural to ask, ‘What now?’ But let me say: This is not the end. There is rebuilding ahead. There is healing ahead. And there is hope ahead.”

This Sunday in the diocesan cycle of prayer we pray for St. Augustine’s Ashland Campus plant in Ashland, OH, led by the Rev. Adam Carrington. We pray also for the staff team and diocesan officials of ADLW, as well as for the ministry of the Rev. Anthony Ferraro.
