The Scottish Greens have released their list of candidates. If the pro-UK vote remains split, a lot of them will end up in the Scottish Parliament, propping up an SNP Government. To avoid this- unite around the Scottish Conservatives, as we did last time to deny an SNP majority.
Very sad to hear of Jamie’s passing. He will be a sorely missed member of the Scottish Conservative family.
Very sorry to hear of the passing of my friend and former colleague & Highlands & Islands MSP Jamie McGrigor. A passionate voice for his Highland constituents, he was outstanding company and a tremendous character. Jamie, you - and your guitar - will be greatly missed.
As Unionists fragment, it only helps the Nationalist parties. Polls are now saying Plaid Cymru will be the largest party in the Senedd. We know Nationalists- Welsh or Scottish- can be beaten. But we need to stick together.
Reform has a Senedd Member as @LauraJ4SWEast defects from the Tories
The Scottish Conservatives will implement a tax cut worth up to £444 per year- paid for by bringing the size of the civil service back to 2016 levels. The SNP allowed spending to get out of control. We'd rein it back. Give us your support at next year's ScotParl elections.
The tagline for this Labour Government can be 'worse than forecast' Borrowing more and more money, and any policies aimed at saving money have been watered down and abandoned. The cost of a weak Government.
Poor UK borrowing figures announced this morning by the ONS The budget deficit came in worse than forecast at £20.7 billion in June Economists had expected £17.5b It’s around £7.5b worse than June 2024 Puts further pressure on Rachel Reeves ahead of the budget
The SNP have no idea how many foreign nationals are in receipt of benefits, paid for by hardworking Scots. This is utterly inexcusable. It is clear that the SNP have lost control of the welfare budget, with millions being squandered. scottishdailyexpress.co.uk/news/politics/…
Trump will be distraught
"I'm going to be busy getting my hair cut or washing my hair" SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn says he will find "any excuse possible" to avoid meeting US President Donald Trump on his visit to Scotland #BBCLauraK bbc.in/44WXpgI
The latest SNP 'vote for us for Independence' push seems half-hearted. You wonder how many of them believe it.
Well said, Rob. Well said indeed.
I call bullshit. You’ve spent the last 48 hours calling me a ‘traitor’ for not drawing attention to a leaked spreadsheet with our special forces and MI6 officers’ names on. But we’re meant to believe this tweet attacking me as a traitor for having a Jewish wife & family was…
Reform are outright Climate deniers, not just net zero sceptics. This view is not shared by the majority of the British public. My party is worried that the push for net zero has outrun our ability to afford it. A massive difference. x.com/twlldun/status…

Independence is irrelevant. Scotland has moved on- but the SNP haven't. So Scotland must move on from the SNP: and the only way to do that is to elect Scottish Conservatives x.com/ScotNational/s…
It’s time for the one change that will actually make a difference for Scotland, for the fresh start our nation needs so badly, writes @JohnSwinney ✍️
Votes at 16. Turns out the only manifesto commitment Labour have stuck to is the one nobody wanted...
You can see the exact moment Labour took office. We weren't kidding, Labour means higher taxes and fewer jobs.
The revised estimate of employees on the payroll in May 2025 was down 25,000 on the month. The provisional estimate for June 2025 was down another 41,000. Read the article ➡ ons.gov.uk/employmentandl…
Today's labour market figures: Fewer job vacanies, fewer jobs. Labour have made a mess of Government and they are failing our country.
Reform want to totally wipe out the Scottish renewables industry. There's a huge difference between concern at the pace of net zero rollout, and the level of climate denial that would put us back on coal. Reform are not good for Scotland.
RENEWABLE NOTICE I have written today to bosses of: Octopus Centrica RWE SSE Renewable Orsted Scottish Power Equinor Vattenfall Notifying them of the political risks of any bids for this years AR7 Net Stupid Zero is ruining our countryside & economy Reform intend to stop it
Starmer, in an attempted show of strength, kicks out MPs who aren't backing his party line. The reality- he is a weak man despite his 170 seat majority. He runs a Government unable to deliver needed change. One year in- we're all just waiting for the next election.
🚨 | The Labour Party has suspended the following 3 MPs for "persistent breaches of party discipline" - Brian Leishman (Alloa & Grangemouth) - Chris Hinchcliff (North East Hertfordshire) - Neil Duncan Jordan (Poole)
The truth is- through the time when inflation went up to 11%, and back down to 2%, it was largely not the Government's doing but resulting from changes internationally- as you can see below. But now under Labour we are much worse than the rest of the G7.
In the year to June 2025, the UK Consumer Prices Index rose by 3.6%—0.2 percentage points higher than the previous month. The UK now has the highest inflation rate in the G7.
This could have been a post from 2016- I'm sure we could find the exact same headline from then. The SNP are stuck in the past. No one is talking about the EU. Few are talking about Independence. Real problems are piling up, and the SNP Government has no idea how to fix them.
Dear Europe, thank you for standing with Scotland. We are a proudly European nation and our future belongs in the EU. We’re working on it! 🇪🇺🏴
