Here's a thread of all my regular Twitter spaces. I'll keep adding as we go - scroll down for latest and upcoming events. 🧵
Organ damage might affect over 50 % of post-COVID-19 individuals and perhaps more in adolescents and children. Review of organ damage from COVID and Long COVID: a disease with a spectrum of pathology - PMC pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11…
It feels like a large portion of the world has given up on basic humanity. Have we forgotten why we should care for each other? Or why we should care for those suffering illness or disability? Our greatest strength is compassion. Not money. Not religion. Not weapons. Not greed.
No one should be diagnosed with an illness and have to immediately wonder if they’ll be able to afford the treatment. Not a single person should ever have to experience that worry before even being able to process that they’re sick.
Scenario: disabled person that is home bound and cannot cook for themselves. They cannot go to the grocery store. They have no loved ones to do it for them and cannot afford at home daily care. How do they eat? Are you doing it for them for free? Quickly. I’m guessing not.
My local mask bloc chipped in for a @NorthBoxSystems for someone vulnerable who is often with unstable or no housing. My guy J-Rad assembled it and I will complete the run as the delivery boy. Just picked it up from homie. Delivery tmr! Also, peep the new P100 colour ways. ✨
Don’t let that silly goose surprise you too much, it’s not like he’s ever misled anyone before with a study that lockdowns accelerating brain aging despite its obvious limitations and researchers pointing it out.
*this* is the more important part of the summary.
I would have said this is pretty important - seems odd to omit this from your summary:
I mean…it’s in the actual abstract🤷🏻♀️ ‘However, accelerated brain ageing correlates with reduced cognitive performance ONLY in COVID infected participants.’ Inequalities are important too- but the main result is right there at the top. Covid infected participants.
Nope. I don't like this. What is going on here exactly @EricTopol?

To My Family, I'm writing to explain what nearly four years of long COVID has done to my body, backed by clinical evidence, and why I’m likely facing a cardiovascular event. This is the raw truth about my condition, MCAS, dysautonomia, and vascular damage, and you need to…
“In the increasingly likely event of an engineered-virus outbreak or pandemic of catastrophic potential, managing infectious aerosols to reduce transmission will be crucial. Now is the time to start preparing…”
I see we’re doing the “no disabled people NEED DoorDash” discourse again. It’s wild how quick folks are to shame disabled people for using a service to help them survive. There are a myriad of reasons we might need to use a delivery app like this 🧵
“This is not a respiratory virus. This virus is like cancer. This virus gets into every part of your body.” Dr. Pat Soon-Shiong has now been on Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly urging Government intervention. Meanwhile MSM and left leaning media, crickets.
Such consistently poor & lazy journalism from MS media- oh kids today are just snowflakes. Really? They don’t suffer the impact of poverty, poor insecure housing & poor health? They aren’t constantly bombarded with the msg that they’re the problem? x.com/adamhighcliffe…
A staggering story. "A 12-year-old girl... panicked when she realised she had arrived at school without her planner: a mistake punishable with 6 hours in isolation". Her dad: "She was rushing because she didn't want to be late for school... that would have led to a detention. ⬇️
It *is* essential for disabled people because you guys have allowed the complete and utter gutting of our social safety net and many disabled people cannot even leave their houses still due to the ongoing pandemic. They have zero other options for meal delivery in many cases
oh no I am now getting genuine “DoorDash is essential for disabled people” replies on bsky
▪️Measles is highly infectious & contagious from 4 days BEFORE the rash. ▪️Initial symptoms are cold-like (children told they must attend school with cold symptoms) ▪️MMR vaccine rates have plummeted @moog77, how would YOU protect kids (esp. immunocompromised kids) in schools?
