Someday soon, what’s been obvious to so many of us from the beginning will be understood by everyone: that if a city can be reduced to rubble with its people held captive inside, if they can be starved in full view of the world, everything is permitted, and this threatens us all.

From information I have seen I believe several of the ARK schools have whistleblowers reaching out to relevant bodies … that alone should make for some squeaky bottoms there! As the saying goes it ALL comes out in the wash ….
Teachers at the Ark school have described the culture as impacting "staff and student wellbeing". Teachers are apparently given a target of 25 detentions issued per staff member per week. It appears SEND children are disproportionately targeted. ⬇️ itv.com/news/meridian/…
It's not possible to improve support for SEND children whilst removing the legal rights of SEND children.
The first principle of any reform of the SEND system will be improving support for children. Another great meeting with parents, working together on how to support every child to achieve and thrive.

Thought for the day. For all the ‘improvement’ pressed upon teachers, retrieval, rosenshine, I do/we do, starters, do now’s, TLAC, scripted/standardised lessons… It’s not delivered any significant improvement. I say this after decades watching from within the classroom.
