I made the '30 Years of Speeches' vid for Bernie in 2016. But after Yang, I now only support Pro-UBI candidates. I follow back to amplify progressive messaging.
Honestly I’m worried that Trumpism will win in 2024 if we don’t get a UBI before then. Only UBI can create the social & economic stability that will prevent negative elements in society from coalescing into political movements. Bayard spoke of this. youtu.be/RiXPsHe8UkI
New marching orders dropped! This copy & paste narrative from the machine is some of the most NPC propaganda I've ever seen (via imruiningphotos on 🧵)
#Georgism Classic Economist, John Stuart Mill’s famous quote on Landlords reddit.com/r/georgism/com…
“we will reach out to you for a second round of interviews”…… its a fucking GROCERY STORE
this is how it feels applying for jobs
America is being transformed from the land of opportunity to the land of renting everything from a hedge fund. This isn’t capitalism. It’s wealth extraction disguised as opportunity.
There's a certain kind of person who will try to burn the world because X "out-group" also has to benefit from UBI or something and that's going to come to a head. We have to plough through that.
Whittier, Alaska is basically this. Almost everyone lives in a single building, where there are stores, bars, and so on. Seems like an excellent concept. I'm not really against this model at all. I'd gladly live like this if the vibe was right. Micro-urbanism in the wilderness.
y’all realize that density is literally what saves the woodlands, right?
collective madness ? condemned to work, this compulsion is even defended because everyone has to do it. meanwhile the planet is overheating like crazy, heat death and starvation threaten, but that's beside the point, they have other things to do. we need #UBI #BGE
People enslave themselves on a daily basis to make money to survive. Obviously it wreaks havoc on mental health. Universal basic income is the only way to liberate everyone.
The saddest part, IMO, are the people who are so vehemently “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” folks who have benefitted from over a hundred year’s worth of labor and economic reform, as well as westward expansion and profiting from technology- but are still not the wealthy
Here's a BIG thing you should do: Basic Income Guarantee
We’re getting big things done for Canadians.
There are so many people who could safely take themselves places (or wander) in a pedestrianized world: children, seniors, those with physical and mental disabilities, the acutely and chronically ill, drunk, high, injured, bereaved and enraged. A car dependent world is a prison.
Driving around the impaired senior parent becomes another burden for the working age adult. I’ve seen so many “stay at home moms” who of course are not staying at home — they’re driving their kids everywhere, and then they’re driving their elderly parents and grandkids…
ICE thugs in Oregon kidnapped a father outside his child's preschool. They smashed his window while he had a baby in the car. He married a US citizen in June, filed for a green card, and had an interview 4 months ago. They still took him. America is a fascist police state.
Being opposed to Single-Payer and UBI is basically backing neofeudalism. The lack of those keeps the financial shackles on people to stop them moving across the country to seek other, better-paying jobs or moving company at the higher end.
UBI will lead to a self-determined, self-confident, reflective, very well-educated, highly democratic, resilient society that will promote fair, affordable, dirt-cheap cooperative housing, which will be the future of the near future anyway. Housing is ...👇
We need to send every policy maker in this country to see what high speed rail looks like in practice, and I’d guarantee most would have the same reaction Governor Moore had.
In 1971, the "Special Senate Committee on Poverty" known as the Croll Report would strongly advocate for a guaranteed annual income. 🧵 #Yyj #cdnpoli #bcpoli #BasicIncome
Capitalists who oppose UBI are weak losers who are afraid of competition.
If you want it changed, make life more affordable. Having kids shouldn't be a debt-sentenced.

It. Is. Rent. Land rent is the root cause of the cost of living. We rent space to exist on earth from people who have no right to claim the uncreated earth as private property. Georgism means becoming stewards of the earth instead of everyone fighting over land and resources
Paying a fee to exist, on a planet nobody asked to be born into, to the very people destroying the planet for personal gain, is a dystopian existence.
if you're insisting the Sydney Sweeney ad isn't a dog whistle you're either disingenuous or stupid
