Nathaniel Dye MBE

Here’s what I did with my morning:
"My name is Nathaniel Dye, and I'm dying of cancer" "At first I was told I'd have a rough year with treatment and surgery and then be free to live my life. When scans eventually happened further spread was discovered and my prognosis worsened" "It's all but certain that I'll…
I can’t - or rather, shouldn’t - buy a pint either, on account of the multiple liver cancers. Why should the legal drinking age be a factor in any of this?
If you can’t buy a pint - you shouldn’t be able to vote
I have incurable bowel cancer too and I DON’T back strike action. Doctors are keeping me alive against the odds by now and I’m grateful but another big rise could make the uphill task of providing the best possible care impossible. How about looking at the pay review body rise?
While @wesstreeting tries to turn the public against doctors, people see through the spin. Resident drs save lives, perform CPR, make critical decisions - all for £18.62/hr. They’re asking for £22.67/hr, and not even in one go. Time to negotiate Wes. express.co.uk/news/politics/…
Ok let’s workshop this: - Days of Yore Party - You’re Gonna Party Hard - Party on Jez, Party on Zarah! - Jez we can…party! - 24 hour [your] party people
It’s your party, but the question the public really want an answer to is if members can cry if they want to, cry if they want to etc. etc. You would cry too if setting up a two person political party happened to you…
To my knowledge, @wesstreeting was the first Labour frontbencher to publicly state that the occupation of Gaza had gone beyond self defence. Now his voice is amongst the loudest in government calling out the illegal and reprehensible actions of the Israeli regime. Good on ya Wes!
These attacks on @WHO are intolerable and are further crippling the health response in Gaza. Medics working in conditions that could scarcely be imagined in our worst nightmares must not be targets. Israel must comply with its obligations under international humanitarian law.
It’s not surprising that a regulator responsible for at least one death and refusing to do anything to shrug off its toxic culture is seeing employees leave in droves. Ofsted must be disbanded and replaced from the ground up. The education sector deserves and NEEDS better.
Ofsted has missed nearly all internal inspection targets this year, its staff are less positive about working there and one in 10 left, the watchdog’s annual report and accounts reveal schoolsweek.co.uk/missed-inspect…
I don’t remember Zarah Sultana calling for the inditement of Ghengis Khan or Vlad the Impairer. Such hypocrisy!!! :p
Keir Starmer and David Lammy both belong in The Hague.
Now we’re getting used the concept of replacing failed ‘OF… ‘ regulators (ie OFWAT), perhaps it’s now time to dispense with the unfit for purpose OFSTED, which has been found to have committed corporate manslaughter.
For a ‘gifted communicator’ I can’t help thinking Farage has left himself open to quite the meme barrage, having repeatedly (and without interjection) told @bbclaurak that he doesn’t know anything. Perhaps we need to wait and see whether [a lack of] knowledge really is power?
After a ‘quiet’ stretch media wise, welcome back to Nat Watch: An interview piece with the excellent Dan Whitworth sound bited on @BBCBreakfast at about 8:10 if you missed the other hourly news bulletins. Plus the whole @Moneybox feature on @BBCRadio4 at noon. @mariecurieuk
Grant ‘super injunction’ Shapps has a knighthood. Just let that sink in for a second…
Well - if we still insist on holding elections despite Churchill’s observation that ‘The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter’ then why shouldn’t we extend that to population of the average Year 11 class?!
The hypocrisy of @RachaelMaskell is staggering. She has no problem with terminally ill people forced to take their own lives due to an unfit law she didn’t just oppose changing but attempted to block. It’s no surprise no party will have her. With such friends who needs enemies?
Suspended Labour MP @RachaelMaskell tells Sky's @JonCraig why she rebelled against the government over its welfare reforms. She says there was "strong" evidence that the changes could lead to some disabled people taking their own lives
That fellow campaigner Emma Bray chose to starve herself to death for the sake of her loved ones is an act of courage that couldn’t show more clearly the need for a change in the law. That Emma shared this with the media shows a different kind of bravery that I will never forget.
We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Emma Bray. Emma was diagnosed with MND in 2023 and recently made the decision to stop eating and drinking, rather than suffer through the final stages of the disease. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.
Now…Please would vigilante crime fighting force Bobby J kindly stop hanging round Stratford station bothering people? As well as painting a bit of a dodgy picture, TFL and the transport police have got this stuff covered. It’s their job.

Presumably the outgoing leader of the official opposition is classing corporations as people for tax purposes. Perhaps this would make more sense in the USA where this is legally true. In the UK, the only people classed as people are actual people.
Labour are going to raise your taxes, again, to pay for their mistakes. Britain doesn't need more taxes. People are taxed too high already. It needs a government committed to bringing down spending so we live within our means. Only the Conservative Party believes this.
Ok - I’m not far from early retirement. But without PIP, I wouldn’t still be working at all. That’s despite deteriorating health and rapidly growing cancers making the best guess of my prognosis that I’ll be in the ground by around March next year. You think I’m making this up?!
Going to leave this one here for everyone who ‘knows someone’ getting money fraudulently for their disability.
I’m torn as to whether to make a point in condemning this horrible example of sensationalist rubbish or to encourage ignoring the leader of this clearly spent political force of national irrelevance. Either way, this is especially unpleasant: theguardian.com/politics/2025/…
