This is a curious definition of "listening to its members" that apparently means "not endorsing the candidate that most members said they supported in two surveys."
Among major labor unions, the Teamsters were an outlier in the 2024 election when they chose to withhold their endorsement. But their decision is an important—and all-too-rare—example of a union listening to its members before taking political action. 🧵
