Jamie. Mad about the weather with a predominant focus on SE England. Aurora hunter with space weather thrown in occasionally. A photographer too, sometimes.
Hi all - I've set up a Buy Me a Coffee (or Coke in this case) page if anyone is feeling generous and wants to support the page as well as my caffeine addiction 😂. Weather is certainly my passion and I hope to continue the updates well into the future! buymeacoffee.com/metjam_

Incredible - I’d probably be burnt at the stake back in the day 😂
Nice bit of rising scud out in the Thames Estuary - normally a good indicator that a cell is actively developing and you’ll probably get a bit wet soon. Follow me for more rain top tips 🤣

We did it!! Tampa hit 100 degrees at the airport at 3:30 pm for the first time on record!! Records go back to 1890. It took 135 years. It’s still unofficial. NWS will have to verify. @WFLA
England wins the 2025 UEFA Women’s Euro, defeating Spain.
High pressure is knocking on the doors of the UK again next week. It should be sunnier and warmer to end the month, perhaps staying this way for a little while. Let's see 👍

“I love your eyes. They remind me of ...” “… the ocean?” “No. The reflective coating of a Celestron schmidt-cassegrain optical assembly.” 💙💙💙
I decided to make my first weather related video in a little while for the Herne Bay storm. Will continue to make these for future storm chases so let me know what you think! This is the last time I’ll mention this storm don’t worry 😅 youtu.be/iIF-nUjyxJM?si…
Tremendous 👌
Cheeky little stack some lightning taken over Herne Bay the other day. Thank you to @TangoH21 for the help with this 🫡
9 of the top 10 highest July temperatures 🌡 on record in the UK have been recorded in the last 10yrs!... metoffice.gov.uk/blog/2025/the-…
Funnel cloud seen at Woodchurch, Kent looking SW at 1645 hours (BST) today.
A microcosm of wetness and thunder to be found in coastal East Sussex in a generally quiet and dry UK this late morning. Radar from Netweather.tv
Sea breeze convergence is kicking in along the south coast - could be a lot of rain in some places within a short amount of time with added thunder and lightning.

Pirms 10 minūtēm visai interesanta un samērā reta kombinācija - sudrabainie mākoņi un ziemeļblāzma. Viena sezona noslēdzas, cita sākas... FYI: @MetJam_ @chunder10 @JAtanackov NLCs and faint aurora visible from Latvia (56.5°N, 23.7°E) ~21.40 UTC
Been a while since I've touched on the aurora, the risk is certainly there for photographic aurora tonight here in England if the negative Bz is able sustain itself and perhaps nudge a bit lower. Bt of 23 means there's plenty of room for brewing of aurora to occur 👍
