Youth work plays a vital role in keeping young people safe and supported to thrive. We're funding councils to work with community organisations to tackle violence. @wfcouncil is using our investment so youth workers can provide safe routes home. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
Great news. Since 2018 we have worked with @safelives_ to test and embed the Drive approach - which holds domestic abuse perpetrators to account for changing their behaviour - in London. In Q4 we saw a 61% reduction in physical abuse by perpetrators on the programme.
Victims shouldn’t have to change their lives to stay safe. That's why we’re making sure those who cause harm are held to account. Our new £53m investment will drive the largest-ever rollout to target the most dangerous domestic abuse perpetrators, stopping them from reoffending.
We’re investing in young Londoners today to help shape a brighter, safer future for them and for our city. My Holiday Hope programme will deliver thousands of positive activities this summer:
With £6M funding, #HolidayHope is working with 100+ community groups to provide: 🎯 Skills & training 📍 Safe, trusted youth spaces 🍽️ Free meals & snacks With @mayorsfund, @LDN_VRU & @felixprojectuk, we’re building a fairer and safer London for all.
🌞 The Mayor wants London to be the greatest city in the world to grow up in, where all young people are safe, healthy & have the chance to succeed. This summer, #HolidayHope offers free & low-cost food & activities. Something to do, eat & aspire to. ⬇️ london.gov.uk/holiday-hope

Tune in to @cathynewman on @Channel4News at 7pm tonight for a first look at my London Victim Attrition Review, out tomorrow. It reveals why so many victims are forced to walk away from the justice system— leaving offenders free to act with impunity. Urgent reform is needed.
