Great news. Since 2018 we have worked with @safelives_ to test and embed the Drive approach - which holds domestic abuse perpetrators to account for changing their behaviour - in London. In Q4 we saw a 61% reduction in physical abuse by perpetrators on the programme.
Victims shouldn’t have to change their lives to stay safe. That's why we’re making sure those who cause harm are held to account. Our new £53m investment will drive the largest-ever rollout to target the most dangerous domestic abuse perpetrators, stopping them from reoffending.
We joined @EddieNestorMBE on @BBCRadioLondon to discuss @SadiqKhan's new Holiday Hope programme. £6m funding will deliver activities to keep young people safe over the summer when evidence shows they are at greater risk of exploitation. 🔗 Listen 2:36 bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0…
Exactly one year on from my London Stalking Review, we’ve already made important progress: 🔹 Stalking Protection Orders (SPOs) will soon be available on conviction 🔹 Working closely with Govt on reviewing stalking law 🔹 @hmcpsi agreed to review CPS response to stalking
Ground-breaking new research by @MOPACLdn shows the scale of stalking and how the justice system is struggling to tackle stalkers and protect victims. The London Stalking Review makes clear recommendations to help drive change london.gov.uk/media/106258/d… telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/07/2…

Today I publish the London Victim Attrition Review — a landmark study exposing why so many victims disengage from the justice system. The findings are stark: the system is failing victims. We cannot accept this status quo. Victims deserve better. london.gov.uk/programmes-str…
In 2022 @LDNVictimsComm commissioned MOPAC's Evidence & Insight Unit to research when and why victims of crime withdrew from the criminal justice process. Today we publish this first-of-its-kind research, which analysed over 270,000 crimes. Read it here: london.gov.uk/programmes-str…

Through record funding, City Hall is supporting our police to bear down on violence, while addressing its root causes through prevention. Violent crime devastates our communities and will not be tolerated.
Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime @KayaJunction visited Enfield last week to see how @metpoliceuk are working in partnership with local councils, businesses and communities to drive down crime and antisocial behaviour in town centres this summer.
Here’s how we’re working with partners to crack down on crime and anti-social behaviour this summer ⬇️

Young people leaving care or those fleeing domestic violence should never struggle to find a safe and secure home. That's why changes coming into effect today will help ensure they get the safety and security they deserve. It's a promise we made and a promise we've kept.
