RMT demanded urgent intervention from Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) today, following a serious escalation in violent and anti-social behaviour across Southern and Gatwick Express services. 🧵🚝

40% of people don’t have a private drive way. £3k planning costs and months and months of delay. We need solutions to ensure people can save money by being able to use home charging tariffs to help encourage Electric Vehicle uptake.
Today I spoke to my amendments to the Planning Bill to make it easier, faster and cheaper for people without driveways to be able to charge an Electric Vehicle through cross pavement solutions.
Most journeys start with walking or wheeling, but 77% of disabled people face barriers like cracked, narrow, or uneven pavements. Accessible and safe streets are essential for all of us.

The DWP admitted 25 cases in one year where their own errors caused serious harm or death—missed suicide warnings, ignored calls for help, unsafe decisions. They said it after the vote. Will you listen on ‘substantial risk’ now? It’s about to get worse. tinyurl.com/3xwjmmw9
I've been getting a lot of questions about our plans for a rapid transit system using gliders. Let me set the record straight. 🧵
Credit to @flowergirl_lon for tirelessly highlighting this issue and contacting the police and fighting for action to be taken

The policy exists in @Se_Railway Accessible Travel Policy and needs enforcement @SteveWhiteRail “If wheelchair spaces are occupied by passengers, other than those using a wheelchair or mobility scooter, staff providing assistance will make sure you can access the space.”
How can journeys be more seamless, accessible and informed? 🚉 We’ve launched a new inquiry into how transport services can be better integrated across the UK — from ticketing and timetables, to travel apps and policy decisions. Find out more ⬇️
.@Se_Railway, what is your policy about preventing bicycles in the wheelchair space & aisles? As a wheelchair user I often have to sit in the door area because of this. It introduces unnecessary risk — depriving me of a crash-tested spaces & leads to people climbing over me.
