I teach philosophy. 'To believe nothing without a reason . . . is as stupid a prejudice... as to believe everything without examination.'
No, inheritance tax isn't a double tax on your already taxed, hard earned money. You're dead. You don't pay it. It's paid, to all intents and purposes, by the people receiving the inheritance, who absolutely did not earn it, and don't deserve a massive tax free windfall.
The internet is probably the most important invention of the last century, but social media has been so damaging that people are questioning if it was even worth it. We should just go back to the original Web 1.0. Interactions over email and forums were enough

America is therefore the land of the future, where, in the ages that lie before us, the burden of the World's History shall reveal itself.
My 4yo just pointed to a table and asked "Why is this a table?" I've trained my whole life for this.
I just got my electricity bill! I think they charged me for the sunlight, moon light, street light, the light of the Holy Spirit, and the light at the end of the tunnel.
Despite a busy acting career, Robert Vaughn found time to complete a PhD at USC which explored the effects of blacklisting on showbusiness. He published it as Only Victims a couple of years later and I'm told that it is a text still used by some university law departments today.

But what’s a book that inherently holds the potential to be read so deeply that if you read it so deeply you would have in effect read 100 books?
Fun fact: £1bn would cover the cost of full pay restoration
That's very inspiring, Chris. What sort of champagne is your favourite? Are all doctors entitled to champagne? Are taxpayers's entitled to champagne, or is it just for doctors?
Teams meeting, 50+ people on camera. Someone said "now then, now then". For reasons beyond me, I launched into a full Jimmy Savile improv complete with honking & "jingle jangle jewellery jewellery". Thereafter followed the quietest silence I have ever known in my life. Mortified.
Yes, your eyes do not deceive you. This is Lord Bethell, who inherited a Barony from his exceptionally wealthy family, and was handed all the opportunities he’s had in life on a silver plate. Suggesting that a doctor shouldn’t have more money because he once drank a glass of fizz

Cooper's law is an ass. And it is rapidly becoming unstuck. Faster than many of us could have possibly imagined.
