Fragmentation makes it harder than ever to predict outcomes of the next GE. 'Uncertainty' meaning a tight election between the Tories and Labour (à la 2015) is a thing of the past, with many Britons (35 per cent) unable to even hazard a guess at the most likely outcome.
NEW: Jeremy Corbyn has a new party, the Greens are on the rise, and Nigel Farage's Reform UK are storming ahead in the polls. Is the era of stable government over? And will Britain be ungovernable? Pollster @LukeTryl on Britain's fragmented politics: thesun.co.uk/news/politics/…
I'm on Channel 4 News tomorrow and I'll address class inequality & prejudice that is now endemic throughout the country. And by the way we arent 'left behind' we have been purposefully LEFT OUT .@Channel4News youtu.be/qRv8LEMq34c?si…
No I generally despair at how she has never asked a question related to the people she's elected to represent when she stands up in parliament
What would make it laughable? Do you laugh at her when she asks questions of Keir Starmer in parliament? You presumably have seen them. Televised on a Wednesday if you were unaware.
In fairness shed probably only need to say 'come on in Vladimir'
Imagine if Sultana were PM and had to speak on the phone to Putin. It's laughable, isn't it?

There are around 250 university courses where fewer than half of those who enroll complete and go on to a graduate job. We should defund them all - now. Protect students from being mis-sold a dream and getting £50k of debt instead. Protect taxpayers from picking up the tab.
I am one of the 221 cross party MPs who have signed Sarah Champion's letter to the Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary calling for the immediate recognition of the State of Palestine.
This sounds absolutely amazing if you're into having meetings about fuck all. Some incredible quotes on this article from multi millionaire hobbyist Schneider, sad to see him contemptuous of the idea of trying to win seats in an election still.
Interviewed James Schneider (@schneiderhome) on his vision for the new left party: its politics, strategy, structures – and how it can build popular power in Britain. Everyone get ready! Now's the moment!! newleftreview.org/sidecar/posts/…
Nobody normal wants to go to fifteen meetings to decide a proposal for something that won't ever happen. Every political organisation should work backwards from the principal that life is short.
Great to read @schneiderhome arguing for a democratic conference to launch the new left party - with proportional representation in the leadership of the party to allow for pluralism:
I am deeply honoured and incredibly excited to be announced as the new Editor of @LabourList I am looking forward to working with the incredible @LabourList team to keep bringing you all the Labour news and get inside the stories of the day. labourlist.org/2025/07/new-la…
Think a good first question for them might be 'Jeremy do you still think we should let Russia overrun Ukraine?'
Are political reporters going to acknowledge that Corbyn has been proved right on several key issues, and that demand for a left alternative is driven by real anger at both genocidal foreign policy and cruel domestic policy, or is it all just going to get fucking stupid again
As somebody who sat through many CLP meetings during the Corbyn years I can fully understand how they debated what to call the new party for 2 hours before deferring the decision to the next meeting
There were 33k asylum seekers in hotels at the last count, far fewer than 56k peak in Sep23. Main difference now is the political temperature.
The IEA continue their 'school nerd who gets picked on' campaign against the idea of a society. Like the antagonist of the care bears, only never having invented anything.

When Zack talks about their being money left in Britain he's correct. However it's all in the zone 1-4 townhouses owned by his voters.

"going on disability means you will not work, you will not get a raise, you will not get whatever meaning people get from work...you will be poor for the rest of your life. That's the deal. And it's a deal 14 million Americans have signed up for." apps.npr.org/unfit-for-work/

Our founder @jeremycorbyn is involved in discussions about creating a new political party. As part of this process, we will enter a period of consultation to shape aspects of the new party’s direction and governance. ✍️Complete the consultation here: bit.ly/newpartyconsul…
This epitomises why the Greens are dangerous. It is the childish inability to look some of the country's real problems in the eye and instead handwave them away. It's politics for people who want to feel good about themselves first and who struggle with a world that can't fit so…

Male life expectancy in Glasgow is also 73, meaning if the pension age were to rise to 74 that the average Glaswegian man wouldn't even claim a state pension. There's massive class injustices in these proposals, including the forms of work we'd be asking folk to do in their 70s.
State pension age could rise to 74. Male life expectancy in areas such as Blackpool is 73 years. Something needs to change.
As a Unite member I voted for @UniteSharon . None of us thought she would win. The bravery she's shown in exposing just how utterly bent the previous admin at Unite were is incredibly commendable.
