I discovered a couple more overtly gay seaside postcards the other day, tucked inside an early edition of Stephen King's The Stand in my local Oxfam Bookshop. I'd say they were probably gracing souvenir stands in the early 80s.

Meant to say, thought @StereophonicLDN was a terrifically absorbing night of theatre, about the tortuous and torturous making of an album. The pain feels like it matters because the songs and musicianship are so plausibly good.

I don't know what it is about Hammersmith Apollo but every time a musical gets put in there it always sounds like a shoddy evening.
After a run at Regent’s Park and a UK tour, 101 Dalmatians returns to London for a season at Eventim Apollo. Though it has its moments, ultimately, the whole thing proves a bit too rough. Read @SwindySam92's ⭐️⭐️ review: allthatdazzles.co.uk/post/review-10…
Are Private Eye jokes now... criminal? PALESTINE Solidarity campaigner Jon Farley was arrested, bundled into a van and taken to the cells during a silent march in Leeds last weekend. What egregious act had prompted the police to act? He was, er, carrying a Private Eye joke piece…
"Anyway, have some planes and training"
The IDF has killed starving Palestinian civilians trying to get aid. Settler terrorism and talk of imposing the illegal E1 settlement plan are flagrant attempts to prevent a Palestinian state. There is no justification for this. A two-state solution is the only path to peace.
Our new big gay adult panto from my company @hbypantos is on sale at @CharingCrossThr!

i finally understand the ending of the sixth sense! those are the names of the people who worked on the movie!
This is better than microwaving them, which screws up the texture of the pastry.
This is how I feel about the Duke of Westminster
What possible defence is there for someone *inheriting* social housing? It seems to be an utterly perverse system of taxpayer funded privilege. A feudal right to live in a valuable property, often in the most expensive areas of the country, just because a relative lived there.
Screening of ep1 of BOOKISH, Mark Gatiss' deftly queer new detective show set in 1940s West End. I'm hooked. Rich balance of familiarity and originality with a core character set you want to get to know. And it looks beautiful. It's on NOW (the channel) from Wednesday (the day).

There’s a VERY good reason asylum seekers get circus tickets and Amazon parcels. But the Mail on Sunday was never going to tell you that. Here’s the crucial detail they left out: 🧵
Iris Murdoch is one of my most favourite and most loved novelists. Just read this sentence by her: “To avoid the torment of social life at the launderette I had bought a washing machine.” From A WORD CHILD, 1975.
Probably my favourite single of the last two years. I'm not even into Wolf Alice but absolute banger youtu.be/lBGcloF8LIY?si…
