look all i'm saying is it wasn't called Hope Comics it was called Action Comics
Superman 2025 did not do better than MoS in it's 2nd weekend. 🌎 cume for Superman was $407M. MoS was $468M (without catering for inflation). Justice League 2017 earned $481M 🌎wide after it's 2nd weekend & still flopped because of big budget. Same problem for Superman.
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? Romans 8 : 24
“I wanted to hit him so bad.” “I know you did, hell part of me even wanted you to? But then what? Make you feel any better?” God this Pa Kent’s so goated
Clark could’ve ended bullies with a flick of his finger. Instead, he held back. Every time. That’s the kind of strength no punch can match. That’s Superman

From a young age I found DC darker, serious and more epic than Marvel. I liked Marvel more as a kid, I much prefer DC now, but i don’t like the fact that these soy boy betas and shills from the MCU are trying to turn DC into the MCU.
This is why I love this particularly take on superhero, the world needs to have darkness and evil in order to make sense for the hero to have faith, will and hope. If the world is all rainbows and flowers why do we even need heroes?
Faith focuses your foresight. Faith is the unwavering ability to reassure yourself that the goal will be accomplished in the future. The goal of good triumphing over evil. It’s the hope that that day will come. There is so much evil in the world that is there has to be the…

So called fans of the Champion of the Oppressed when it’s time for him to actually champion the oppressed rather than just talk about hope and fun stuff all day
definitely kicking the hornets' nest here, but now that we've got such a wonderful direct comparison, I'm absolutely gobsmacked that *this* was what Superman looked, sounded, and acted like onscreen as recently as 2016. truly miserable stuff!
Crazy how you can just lie about these movies and get away with it
"...as blind as a bat." This is displayed visually in this shot of Batman by the eye on his helmet being completely black and his human eye being illuminated.

Could you please elaborate in detail? Not on the scene, ofcourse. I mean just this hypothesis of yours.
Kinda blows my mind how people think the scene should’ve been him moving people at light speed out of the building one by one as if this is a circus act and not a story being told
Superman at his lowest would still try to save people tho...
It's true. WB has a history of this that can be tracked. Whenever they've made DC a satire AGAINST itself, the global audience will eventually reject it. Superman 3 & 4 Batman & Robin Joss Whedon's Justice League (2017) 🆚 The Dark Knight Trilogy Man of Steel Zack Snyder's…
