Observation of the day! The milk weed is doing fantastic this year. Taller than me, these flowers bring so many different species to one spot.

Also never stop LARPing. Caesar larped as Alexander and Napoleon larped as Caesar. Larping as awesome people is in our nature.
I will be Talking Dirt this morning with @RealRobinBasil Don't be a stranger. Swing by if you have the time :)
Join me this Wednesday at 11AM EST on @XSpaces for a conversation with @JakesDirtTalk, third-generation organic gardener and modern-day naturalist. We’ll dig into soil health, garden wisdom, quirky haikus, and the deeper meaning of growing slow. From pumpkin vines and potato…
Having worked in a hardware store with a garden section, some of those bags have easily sat on the shelf for over a year. I know, I stocked them.
Most growers have fragile gardens because they outsource soil creation to companies that prioritize shelf life over plant life.
A mitochondrion with a snippet sliced off so you can see its inside
Peering into mitochondria - gorgeous life patterns! The parallel infolding are "cristae" where respiration and energy transformation happen The purpose of breathing is to bring oxygen to your cristae

While we are on the topic of rare nebulae, this is the ONLY photograph in existence of this nebula. This one I discovered with my friend Marcel Drechsler, and with a small team produced this image.
This is an assumption so, research needed. I always though the way cities were set up was intentional. It makes perfect since if you are using a cold war paradigm. Each side has enough fire power to flatten cities, so you want to spread your "valuable" well-educated citizens…

This is one of the only photographs in existence of this nebula, Hewett 1. It is 6 times the size of the full moon in the sky
My favorite observation from today is that butterflies and bats have similar flight patterns. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
Me: In my next life, I wouldn't mind being a crane. My friend: The bird, or the machine? Me: ... you know, I wouldn't mind either.
Anyone have recommendations for macro-photo techniques/technology? In one of my slow metabolism worm buckets, pill bugs (aka rollypolly, aka woodlice) had hatched and hundreds of the cutest white critters were crawling around, but I wasn't able to capture them on camera.
Summary of most of my interactions
2,600 thats pretty cool. Thank you. I've realized that I will never be able to monetize this so I'm just in it for the love of the game.
Having a look to see how well the onion seed heads are coming along. These will be the seed that will be available in our new catalogue available on line.
Now do hours wasted by paperwork and red tape!
Gamers have spent over 25 billion hours, or roughly 2.85 million years, playing Call of Duty, outlasting the entire span of human history.

The fascinating slow breathing of nature. The pumpkin vine crawling across the ground. Ants working wonders unseen. A human, making themselves busy amongst the trees. Today was a good day.
