This is exactly why we rail on conspiracy theories. This is it. There is NO REASON for this. People have absolutely lost their damn minds.
A vandal knocked out News 9’s weather radar in OKC—then took out the cameras, but not before one got his face. Here are the details: news9.com/story/686c1415…
☀️A hot and humid air mass will move into the region late in the week into early next week with peak heat indices between 95 to 105! This will be the hottest stretch of weather so far this season with some locations hitting the mid 90s for highs this weekend. #iawx #ilwx #mowx
RIP to a true legend in this industry. Fundamentally changed how severe weather coverage is done and all for the better. We really do stand on his shoulders.
Oklahoma has lost a legend. Longtime News 9 Chief Meteorologist Gary England has passed away at 85. His legacy will never be forgotten. newson6.com/story/6848f5c6…
Survey Update: Here is a look at the tornadoes and damaging winds we surveyed. Preliminary results indicate 8 tornadoes, with swaths of severe winds (>80+ mph), damaging trees and structures. We appreciate everyone's reports that helped with these! #iawx #ilwx #mowx
With the thunderstorms moving across northern IL continuing to weaken we have cancelled the Severe Thunderstorm Watch. Expect showers and occasional t-storms to persist through the night areawide. #ILwx #INwx
LOT cancels Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Boone, De Kalb, La Salle, Lee, Ogle, Winnebago [IL] mesonet.agron.iastate.edu/vtec/f/2025-O-…

Looks like a downburst signature on radar between Adeline and German Valley. Could be capable of tree/power line damage. Moving northeast into southwestern Winnebago Co. (Seward and Winnebago areas). Seek shelter inside and let these storms pass!

Getting increasingly concerned about severe wind gusts and possible tornado development north of Sterling. Moving northeast towards Polo and southwestern Ogle Co. in the next 15 minutes.

A line of severe storms will reach I-39 closer to 9 p.m. by my eye. Severe Thunderstorm and Tornado Warnings now just southwest of the Quad Cities. Severe T'Storm Watch remains in effect until 11 p.m. for counties along and west of I-39 in northern #ilwx and southern #wiwx

Very warm and dry conditions along with south-southwest winds gusting up to 50mph will lead to an increased threat of fire spread today, particularly where little/no rain fell on Thursday. #ILwx #INwx
