DOJ plans to interview Ghislaine Maxwell. But why now? Ghislaine is looking for a pardon, and who would be better to give it to her than a co-conspirator now in the Oval Office. Any testimony she provides must be accompanied by the release of the files to corroborate it.
I think people are missing something big. Trump's manipulation of the bureaucracy to manufacture pretexts for DOJ to prosecute his enemies is happening right now. It's actively underway. It's not theoretical. It's upon us.
Trump just said Schiff merits "prison" for the "fraud" an IG supposedly found. Again, I talked to experts/former IG who described the process used here as deeply troubling. This is his model for manipulating bureaucracy to hatch pretexts to target foes: newrepublic.com/article/198074…
Mike Lawler made the decision not to run for Governor months ago. He came to terms with the fact that he can’t win a primary against Elise Stefanik (or Bruce Blakeman), to say nothing of the obvious fact that he would lose the general election.
BREAKING 🚨Congressman Mike Lawler (NY-17) has made a decision about whether or not to run for New York Governor. I will have an exclusive interview in the morning on News 12. Stay tuned… @News12 @RepMikeLawler @lawler4ny
AWFUL scenario. Border Patrol agents raided a car wash and arrested a DACA recipient working there. He has a REAL ID, but they didn't even let him show his ID, they just grabbed him and threw him in a van. He was then detained for a MONTH before getting bond.
This is a terrifying case. DHS did not recognize DACA as a protective status, & proceeded to arrest & detain Diaz. With the massive increase in enforcement that is about to start, are DACA recipients also enforcement targets? latimes.com/california/sto…
My statement on Donald Trump's latest transparent and disgraceful attempt to delay the release of the Epstein Files:
Shutting down the House to block a vote on the Epstein files? Sellout Stefanik and New York House Republicans would rather cover for Trump than do their jobs.
House GOP leaders are sending members home early for summer recess, spurred by the deepening Epstein crisis. The decision comes after Republicans lost control of the floor over bipartisan pressure to vote on releasing Epstein-related docs. politico.com/live-updates/2…

Breaking News: Speaker Mike Johnson said he would shut down the House until September to block a vote on calling for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files. nyti.ms/4nZtblR
Sens. Booker and Padilla are proposing a new law to require ICE to unmask and display clear identification. Tell your Senators and Rep they need to support this via the link below. tinyurl.com/bp8cau82
Damn right. @EliseStefanik and every single New York House Republican ripped away their own constituents’ health care. They sold out New Yorkers because Donald Trump told them to. We will hold them accountable—up and down the ballot.
AOC rallying the crowd: “Every Republican in the state of New York must be challenged. Point blank. Period.” “I want republicans running for dog catcher to be challenged next year.” Much more rally than town hall at this point...
Suing the WSJ, defunding PBS, winning a payout from Paramount: Bit by bit, Trump's attacks "undermine the First Amendment by making the media and others more cautious in covering Trump, his administration and other federal and state politicians," @URichmond prof Carl Tobias says
If you refuse to see what is happening, the cancellation of the Colbert show should open your eyes. I want to explain to you what a censorship state looks like - where a corrupt government gives favors to media that suppresses criticism of the regime.
In the republican world view only the wealthy can have nice things. spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/central-ny…
The sellout continues.
Lawler: The fact is President Obama needs to answer for this immediately. There needs to be a very clear and unequivocal answer to how this happened. And why exactly his administration, and concert with the intelligence community, was changing reports to make it appear as though…
Congestion pricing is working.

In this clip, @ErinBurnett of @CNN asks how I am handling the pressure on media. My answer: We have freedom of speech and the press. We may pay a price for exercising it. Our job is to accept that, humbly do the best work we can, and make sure we can defend it.
Thanks @LateNightSeth for highlighting what has to be the most insane Epstein response of the week. @SecDuffy and his friends might take connecting flights through Epstein Island, but I certainly did not!
The Trump Administration is withholding over $400 million in education funding from NY State, jeopardizing educational programs that students and families rely on. The Dept. of Education should be promoting student achievement and ensuring equal access to quality education.…
CBS cancels Stephen Colbert three days after he calls out the CBS lawsuit settlement with Trump over 60 Minutes. Time to investigate this mess. If House GOP won’t, I hope State AGs like Tish James will.
