Any doctor who's threatened by their patient's use of WebMD probably should have just studied harder in med school. I have no tolerance for this sign. 🙄

NBC misrepresented the FDA panel discussion on SSRIs in pregnancy—experts discussing risks to developing babies from these brain-altering chemicals. Shame on @ariabendix They quoted me as dismissing women's depression as just "experiencing emotions more intensely" attempting to…
70 million Americans take SSRIs which cause autism in utero. SSRI exposure to fetus through maternal blood can affect the developing brain by damaging serotonin receptors through negative feedback known as the developmental hyperserotonemia model of autism ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P…
Grocery store socialism doesn’t work. Kansas City poured millions into a grocery store. It still may close. washingtonpost.com/nation/2025/07…
ICYMI: Highlights from yesterday’s expert panel on SSRIs and pregnancy. “Serotonin may play a crucial role in the development of the organs of a baby in utero, specifically the heart, brain, and even the gut. SSRIs have also been implicated in different studies to be involved in…
So close @NBCNews News! Don't worry, I fixed it. The actual truth is: SSRIs can be a part of a pregnant woman's treatment plan in specific circumstances. With an understanding that: - There absolutely ARE risks. - Benefits to Mom are not always clear or even present.…

Bahaha. They were so close! 🤣 Legacy Media is dead. By suicide.
If serotonin plays a crucial role in fetal development (which it does) & if SSRIs disrupt the serotonin system (which they do) then the SSRIs must alter fetal development - and the public should be warned. This point was not disputed at yesterday's panel.
Today’s panel questioned the narratives we’ve all been sold on known v unknown and risks v benefits of SSRIs in pregnancy but also more generally. Incredible discussion. And I even got my question answered.

Mic drop.
*taps sign* You still have to pay for healthcare. And when the government is the only payer, it doesn’t eliminate rationing it just replaces it with central planners deciding who waits and who dies.
Just had the privilege of interviewing @DrDiGiorgio. He’s the real deal, and their show is fantastic. Check out out 👇
Prior auth is the scam that keeps on paying. In this week’s Doctor’s Lounge, we talk surgical emergencies delayed by bureaucracy, Ai algorithms denying care, and why 66% of employers could kill prior auth, but don’t. We also ask the uncomfortable question: Did the previous…
A recent one year study put 50 diabetics and pre diabetics through a ketogenic diet, alongside lifestyle intervention. They were told to reduce their carbs below 30 grams. Intermittent fasting was encouraged. All 50 people lost weight. They lost more weight than those on…
Instead of investing in GLPs, KC has decided to eliminate food altogether. You're next New York!
Despite a recent $750k taxpayer subsidy, the shelves at Kansas City's government-run grocery store are "almost bare." It also lost $885k last year and is, unsurprisingly, hemorrhaging customers.
At it's core, Medicine is a 'customer service' job. You have to connect well with patients so that they: - trust you & follow your advice. - don't sue when there's a bad outcome. - don't get you fired or investigated by the medical board None of this has anything to do with…
Reviews for physicians are a funny thing. I get praised for the same things I get criticized for. Two new patient reviews—same day. One patient loved that I was laughing with a patient in the hallway. She said the staff was warm, the energy was positive, and she felt genuinely…
If you’re not sure whether to play it safe or not today, just remember you’re going to die. And playing it safe doesn’t change the ending.
I don’t like getting ripped off or having my options restricted. Quit insurance and @JoinCrowdHealth
If you want a pre-paid health plan, fine. Just don’t call it insurance. But expect it to be expensive, full of utilization restrictions, and riddled with out-of-pocket costs. I don’t use my home warranty to get a new coffee maker every year. I don’t use my car warranty for tire…
