"Intellectual elites crusading for their ideological goals have, for centuries, seen children as a special target for their messages. As far back as the eighteenth century, William Godwin said that children - other people's children - 'are a sort of raw material put into our…

I was at a kid’s party last weekend hosted by one of LA’s 700+ public defenders and we were talking about California’s lenient shoplifting policy. Her position? “If rents in LA weren’t so insanely high, people wouldn’t need to shoplift.” How do we fix this way of thinking?…
Of course they are closing because of shoplifting. Retail as we know it literally cannot function without a base level of honesty widely distributed among the population.
I was just at the Post Office sending out some Sowell post it note orders and I was reminded that the USPS has not yet issued official Thomas Sowell Postage Stamps. Which is why I printed my own! Order your sheet of 18 stamps here: etsy.com/listing/167790…

The other day, at my Sowell Pop Up Shop, a guy told me that “Sowell is just common sense.” And while that’s true in a certain way, I maintain that Sowell is WAY MORE than simply common sense. This quote is an example. Common sense with a dash of genius!
If you know what "bottom quintile" means...you're in the top quintile. 🤣

My team (me and my 3 daughters) set up a "Thomas Sowell Pop Up Shop" yesterday at a busy farmer's market here in LA. Met some great Sowell fans and also introduced many to the genius of you-know-who. Here's our table:

It’s not clear to me whether eliminating property taxes will decrease or increase home prices. Could go either way, actually. In the case of NYC, getting rid of rent control would do more to make housing affordable than any other tweak. Sowell makes this case repeatedly.
Gen Z has more positive attitudes to socialism than capitalism, but we’re not going to fix that by just waxing eloquent about Adam Smith. We need solutions: the way to deliver affordable housing is bring down property taxes, build more homes, & cut red tape that restricts supply.
They went from “It takes a village” to “It takes a gay village” in only a decade. What’s next, a trans village?
