We have some incredible interns who have been working hard to not only learn about our priorities at @cleanwater_ri but also improve their graphic skills for social media! We are really proud of how hard they worked and to see their improvement!
INTERN SPOTLIGHT! Our @RDisposable interns in New England designed some posters and graphics to spread the word about #PlasticFreeJuly! They're also in the field supporting zero waste events this summer, including a triathlon! Thank you! (Love this tip: BYO dining ware to a BBQ!)
💧 The only thing missing from this gift basket to polluters is the large bow to go along with it. Send a message to Your U.S. Representative today 👉 act.cleanwater.org/page/173938/ac… #ProtectCleanWater #PermissionToPollute
American energy, union-built!" 🙌 Nick Reynolds from IUPAT Local 195 says it best. Offshore wind means reliable, clean power AND strong local economies right here in RI. Let's keep building that future! #GreenJobs #MadeInAmerica #EnergyIndependenceMonth #UnionStrong
Love an elected who walks a picket line with workers!
Big corporations take home huge profits while wages fail to keep up with the cost of living. I am proud to again support the Raise the Wage Act to raise the federal minimum wage to $17 for 22 million Americans. This is long overdue.
Congress just passed a budget bill that guts clean energy, kills jobs, and raises costs for working families. It’s now up to states like Rhode Island to build clean energy, address the affordability crisis, and put working people first.
We’re lighting the I-35W bridge green tonight and tomorrow in honor of Melissa Hortman, who found joy and peace in trees and gardens 🌳
@GovDanMcKee signs the ban on sale of “assault weapons,” including those associated with mass shootings (according to advocates on both sides of debate)
Kudos to @RebeccaKislak for her work on the Building Decarbonization Act, a common-sense move forward to align our state with the goals set forth in the #ActonClimate.
Thank you @repmcentee33 & @JedThorp for leading the charge and never giving up on this.
@repmcentee33 has worked tirelessly on legislation to create a bottle bill in RI. While the finished version wasn’t what everyone wanted, we had to balance priorities, and this is a step in the right direction.
Microplastic bits polluting the floor of the Bay. The state’s only landfill approaching capacity. The waste crisis isn’t a problem we can kick down the road for future generations. We need innovative solutions now. Bottle bills work. Send a message today: act.cleanwater.org/page/173049/ac…
Here’s to the man who taught my sister and I to always ask hard questions, to know our sources and who was always happy to proofread a paper (even if it was midnight and due the next day). You’re one of the best reporters - thanks for instilling a love Of baseball in us.

A bi-partisan study commission spent 18 months examining RI's current waste and recycling programs and studying bottle return systems around the country to learn which versions work best. The RI bill is modeled after high performing systems. Let's get it passed! #RIbottlebill
We buried my oldest cousin today, he was 50. He was a good man, he loved his family and friends. He always showed up & was the life of the party. He was taken from us too soon from a massive heart attack - my aunt and uncle and cousins are missing him. Make sure to say I love you
A bottle bill deserves to pass the R.I. General Assembly. Here’s why beverage brands think so. rhodeislandcurrent.com/2025/06/06/a-b…
So so so proud of @mia_tretta for her hard work, dedication and steadfastness. I cry talking about senseless gun violence and she acts! Shed a real hero and RI is lucky she chose @BrownUniversity for college! Thank you @mia_tretta
Walking into the RI state house to make sure we get this assault weapons ban passed! #LetsGo #GVP #GetItDone #DoSomething #GunLawsSaveLives
Incredible night!! Way to go @RICAGV1 and their staff and volunteers.

The Assault Weapons Ban bill passed out of committee today and I’m looking forward to a robust debate and vote this Thursday on the House floor. Thank you to all the advocates who have worked tirelessly for years to get to this day.
