Climate Jobs Rhode Island
@climatejobsri
A growing coalition of labor, environmental, and community partners advocating for a just transition to a pro-worker green economy in RI.
Proud of the IUPAT members helping lead Rhode Island’s clean energy future. Union labor is making offshore wind possible and making sure working people aren’t left behind in the transition. #JustTransition #UnionBuilt #CleanEnergyRI
In Rhode Island, IUPAT members are leading the way in building green energy by working on the windmills and turbines that power our communities. Clean energy powered by union members is fundamental in building a society that works for working people.
Wonderful visit from the team of @climatejobsri , one of our most valuable collaborators in helping us making Fuerza an organization committed to not only reduce our environmental impact but also be an example of sustainability and climate education in our city! More to come!
@cleanwater_ri teamed up with @climatejobsri and we will continue to work together to protect the environment even if this administration wants to try and dismantle our hard work! providencejournal.com/story/opinion/…
We aren't afraid to build a future that works for working people in the Ocean State. @climatejobsri @cleanh2oaction providencejournal.com/story/opinion/…
American energy, union-built!" 🙌 Nick Reynolds from IUPAT Local 195 says it best. Offshore wind means reliable, clean power AND strong local economies right here in RI. Let's keep building that future! #GreenJobs #MadeInAmerica #EnergyIndependenceMonth #UnionStrong

Unions are #poweringourfuture to energy independence with homegrown clean energy, pass it on! #EnergyIndependenceMonth
Happy Fourth of July! 🎉 Today, as we celebrate our nation’s independence, we’re also thrilled to launch #EnergyIndependenceMonth! We’ll be spending the entire month highlighting the incredible union members who are building a stronger, more independent energy future for us all.

Congress just passed a budget bill that guts clean energy, kills jobs, and raises costs for working families. It’s now up to states like Rhode Island to build clean energy, address the affordability crisis, and put working people first.

On Saturday, we marched with RI AFL CIO in the Pride Parade- celebrating joy, demanding justice, and building power across movements. A just transition includes LGBTQIA+ workers, organizers and community members leading climate and labor justice. #Pride2025 #UnionPride #pvdpride

🌱 Last week at the @neepenergy 2025 Summit, CJRI Program Director Aislinn Hanley joined the panel “Demystifying X: Building Partnerships That Last” to talk about the role of trust in relationships and the importance of workforce as community to power a clean energy future.

Thank you @NE4OSW for a great spring meeting in Portsmouth NH! Thrilled to connect with so many partners working towards a just transition to the green economy. @ctclimatejobs @climatejobsMA @ME_laborclimate @climatejobs

out here fighting for better conditions for our healthcare workers💪❤️🩹✊ @SEIU1199_NE @ri_trades

Another big win for offshore wind—clean energy is benefiting our climate, economy, and marine ecosystems. Let’s keep up the momentum with strong labor standards, safeguards, and community input at the center. Survey results from INSPIRE Environmental: arcg.is/198zub1
President Trump’s actions on offshore wind harm American jobs, energy security, and economic growth. RI stands to lose thousands of good-paying, union jobs while ceding clean energy leadership to global competitors. We must fight for our future. 🌊⚡️ pbn.com/harming-offsho…
Elon Musk and DOGE are firing or trying to fire tens of thousands of federal workers who keep the essential programs that working families rely on running every day. We want to hear your story: How have you been impacted? act.aflcio.org/forms/share-yo…
DOGE's attacks on federal workers are hurting working families across the country. Federal workers are members of our communities who work to make our government work for working people, but now, they fear for their jobs and their livelihoods. These are some of their stories.
Now is not the time to cut clean energy funding. The IRA’s clean energy credits—targeted for cuts by Trump—help stabilize costs, create high-quality jobs, and drive economic growth. A fossil-fuel-first strategy won’t fix rising electricity prices. eenews.net/articles/elect…
“If we do not know how much energy our large buildings are using and how many greenhouse gases they’re emitting, we cannot reduce them.” Benchmarking is a critical first step. @the_herald @EnergyRI hubs.ly/Q038fGmd0
Thank you to all our labor and environmental friends who showed up in support of offshore wind last night in Westport! 🌊💨 Don’t let bad-faith committees push false narratives. We need facts, not fear-mongering. #OffshoreWind #ClimateAction #GoodJobs #UnionStrong

Our @CleanH2OMA team bumped into some of our RI friends (@climatejobsri , @climateactionRI) at an offshore wind meeting in Westport! We're working together to build regional clean energy solutions to a global problem!
Unions are leading on climate action in Colorado. @climatejobsco just launched with a plan to build a clean energy economy that works for everyone. More about their launch from @denverpost. ⬇️ denverpost.com/2025/01/21/col…
