Ultra-processed foods are making us sick. Let's make it simple to eat better, and break free. Andreas Eenfeldt, MD, founder/CEO @JoinHava @DietDoctor.
It's time to reveal the future of nutrition and health. Here is the Hava Keynote 2025. The world is in the middle of an epidemic of obesity and disease. Just like with COVID, the pharmaceutical industry is getting ready to profit by medicating everybody – and this time for life!…
Guess why this happens?
When people are sick as sh*t eating junk food and taking 10 💊💊, nobody says anything. But when they stop eating junk and start eating real food, suddenly everyone has an opinion about how dangerous their diet is, despite them feeling amazing, coming off 💊💊, and losing fat.
These are profoundly inportant results if correct.
*At most*, decreased daily expenditure can account for one-tenth of the obesity problem. !Diet appears to be responsible for >90% of the obesity crisis in developed (and developing) countries! 6/
Interesting, let’s hope this will be good.🤞
Ultra-processed foods are driving our chronic disease epidemic. We must act boldly to eliminate the root causes of chronic illness and improve the health of our food supply. Defining ultra-processed foods with a clear, uniform standard will empower us even more to Make America…
This is such BS. There’s no epidemic of childhood trauma to explain the obesity epidemic.
There is also a relationship between childhood trauma and and obesity
The dye is the least concern, @SecKennedy Dessert in a “breakfast”box.
Unfortunately this won’t ”Make America Healthy Again,” as these products will keep making kids obese and sick no matter what color is used. The satiety per calorie will be unchanged, super low. The implied health endorsement from authorities may even hurt kids more.

Froot Loops is finally following its nose — toward common sense. Thanks to the many parents who spoke out and pressured @KelloggsUS to remove harmful food dyes from its products. I urge more companies to step up and join the movement to Make America Healthy Again.
Important question: If there is an “emerging consensus” about what causes the obesity epidemic (i.e. aspects of the ultra-processed food environment), then WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO LEARN ABOUT IT? If you had a family member who was interested, what would you tell them?
There is an emerging consensus in the field. I’d add that the food and commercial environment also contributes to the rise of eating disorders worldwide.
Important insights: obesity is not caused by laziness. Movement has only marginal importance for causing obesity. Obesity is 90% due to diet, yet it’s not sudden gluttony in everyone. We’re poisoned by the ultra-processed food environment, foods that break our satiety system.
Obesity is not caused by laziness It’s caused by the wrong food A massive new study just crushed the “eat less, move more” myth 🧵
Had a great time talking to @TyRBeal, I recommend his new podcast!

Unfortunately the potato chips will have virtually the same satiety per calorie after this change - super low e.g. 2 / 100. It will make people eat just as many calories and get just as fat. PepsiCo will make about the same money, if not more. Great job MAHA.🙄 I’m still…
.@PepsiCo just announced it will eliminate artificial colors and flavors from Lay’s and Tostitos by year’s end—and expand the use of avocado and olive oil in place of canola and soybean oil. I urge every other food company to follow their lead and join the movement to Make…
Great breakfast for weight control and metabolic health💪
Breakfast today was deli roast beef, Swiss cheese, dill pickle, watered down Dijon mustard, and hard boiled egg with Cajun seasoning. Score 60. Protein 93g.
🙌
Thanks for the shoutout @TheFittestDoc (and Max Helmer)! 🙌🏼♥️✨ Not sure if everyone knows it, but Dr. Nick also has the undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering + Family Medicine board certification combo — which of course makes him f***ing awesome 👊🏼😜
What a shocker🙂
It remains to be determined what dietary factors are the most fattening. In an exploratory analysis, we found no effect of % meat in the diet, but % calories from ultra-processed food was strongly related to body fat% 7/
Should you eat low carb or low fat? The eternal debate contines. The truth is that both work well for many people. You can also do a bit of both, or alternate some low carb meals and some low fat meals. Just don’t eat high carb AND high fat, and remember to get enough protein.
The culprit at a high caloric intake is fat. Period. For years, I operated under a flawed assumption. I wasn't a high-fat zealot, but I thought I could get away with a pretty high intake... often 100 to 150 grams a day... because they were the "right" kinds of fats. The butter,…

Successful weight loss requires an energy deficit & adherence. Therefore a diet which banishes your favourite foods is likely to fail. Finding healthier substitutions is key! Perfectly demonstrated by the @JoinHava app Free @HighSatietydiet recipes at s.samsungfood.com/LezTz
Another happy Hava review on the App Store.❤️ Hava is the Answer! I’ve used a few of the popular food tracking apps and nothing compares to Hava. It’s a completely new way to look at fat loss and health, and it works incredibly well. It’s simple, easy, educational and highly…

Highly, highly recommended🌟
I’m excited to announce my new book FOOD INTELLIGENCE coauthored with brilliant journalist @juliaoftoronto! Cutting through the confusion about diet & health, #FoodIntelligence describes the fascinating science of how food both nourishes and harms us. penguinrandomhouse.com/books/671334/f……
The problem with nutrition is that you can find a mechanism (e.g., "oxalates") to support *any* story. Then, when you try it and benefit, you may believe that's the only way to eat. And you are likely to benefit, as pretty much any diet is better than the Standard American Diet…
Ok. Got me there. Add eggs and bacon and be done. Plants have oxalates, phytates and gluten. Fruits have fructose. Murder on blood sugar. Beans will kill you right quick if you don't cook the poison out. None of that is religious.
