Paging ICJ - genocide; UK and EU states: sanctions list
An Israeli minister boasts that “Gaza is being erased, we are wiping out the population.”
The UK had an opportunity to show leadership by recognising Palestine decades ago, instead we shall be a reluctant back marker, perhaps only doing it, when there is hardly anything left to constitute a viable state.
🚨🇫🇷🇵🇸 BREAKING: French President Macron: “I have decided that France will recognize the State of Palestine.”
Israel says it has bigger jobs to do than look after foreign journalists in Gaza. I'm not asking them to look after me. I'm just asking them to let me in. I'll look after myself as I do in every war zone I visit. We have freer access to Sudan, Congo & Yemen than we have to Gaza.
Time for action not words Prime Minister. Nothing less.
The suffering and starvation unfolding in Gaza is unspeakable and indefensible.
Israel killing one person every 12 minutes in July. Time say to drink a coffee. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
#Gaza ~ humanitarian goods & access are being used as instruments of war & occupation. This pattern goes back 20 yrs Children are dying PM @number10gov must act with partners to turn words into action Stop this horror - now! Interview @SkyYaldaHakim youtu.be/VN49K1Tqa28?fe…
Zero excuse for the UK not to recognise. And no anti-Arab trolls, it is not a reward for terrorism or violence. It is a basic and overdue acknowledgement of Palestinian national rights and self determination of the Palestinian people.
🔵 La France va reconnaître l'Etat de Palestine, annonce Emmanuel Macron.
Anyone know when this will happen? Next week?

File that as evidence pt 1001 to trash the utter nonsense that Amnesty is antisemitic

On what planet is this your business? The UK recognising or not recognising Palestine is about aknowledging their national rights and right to slef-determination. Palestinians have national and human rights like anyone else.
Our response to the Mayor of London's call for the UK to unilaterally recognise a Palestinian state
The UK should immediately recognise Palestine, but there is also a great risk this becomes a way for London (and others) to say it 'did something'. The issue is not simply the recognition of Palestinian statehood - it's taking measures to force Israel to end the occupation.
NEW: Mayor of London @SadiqKhan backs calls for immediate UK recognition of Palestinian statehood. It’s a rapidly growing demand within the Labour Party which may prove harder and harder for Keir Starmer to resist.
Israel's siege is starving the people of Gaza. We have joined more than 100 aid and rights groups to demand action - before there is no one left to save. Read the full statement here: bit.ly/3GPCpAE
More than 100 aid agencies say 'mass starvation' is spreading across Gaza bbc.in/3TTQMa0
But the pro-genocide mob will continue to back Israel come what may .... and no doubt the CEO of UKLFI will still want everyone to praise Israel for solving Gaza's obesity crisis.

Israel’s pathetic attempt to divert the blame for their deliberate starvation of Gaza is just another chapter in their genocide playbook. Nobody, but nobody, buys this drivel. For 21 months you have done everything to deny Gaza of food, medicines and fuel. The ICJ is watching.
Before demanding more aid enter Gaza, the UN can start by unloading the 950 trucks already waiting INSIDE Gaza. Blaming Israel is a way to deflect from the UN’s own failures, I told @SkyNews.
The mounting starvation in Gaza is a direct result of Israel’s dismantling of the ‘UN model’ of aid distribution and its replacement with the lethal GHF system. Israel is deliberately undermining systems of aid distribution by the UN and other international agencies: restricting…
If you know any Gazan students in this situation - scholarships at UK universities but unable to leave due to biometric requirements - please drop me a message! theguardian.com/education/2025…
Ian Hislop, "It is pretty ludicrous we have got to a state where a man is arrested for carrying a joke? I mean, freedom of expression, freedom of speech, all those things we claim to be interested in?" Shame on @YvetteCooperMP and @Keir_Starmer - this isn't the change any of us…
Gove is an extremist, and a dangerous one at that. One of those Israel can do no wrong types, even when it is committing a genocide
Kevin Maguire "Are you really blaming what Israel is now doing, killing Palestinians in huge numbers, on Hamas? Are you really doing that?" Michael Gove: "Yes" Gove isn't just an apologist for genocide. He's cheering it on #GMB
Deliver on Israeli pledges ... would that be the Israeli pledge to annhilate Gaza, to build what is a concentration camp over Rafah city, to annex the West Bank?
The killing of civilians seeking aid in Gaza is indefensible. I spoke again with @gideonsaar to recall our understanding on aid flow and made clear that IDF must stop killing people at distribution points. All options remain on the table if Israel doesn’t deliver on its pledges
Millions of tonnes of rubble left by Israel’s bombardment of Gaza could generate more than 90,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions - imagine the climate emissions of all those Israeli bombs that produced this rubble theguardian.com/world/2025/jul…
