I’m supporting @TheBMA Because trying to fix the NHS without improving pay & conditions for health/social care workers is like trying to refill a bath without the plug Recruitment, retention, burnout - this is the crisis Resident doctors deserve better. So does every patient
But more Labour voters support it 😬 (47% in favour, 35% against) independent.co.uk/news/uk/politi…
Resident doctors should abandon the BMA leadership so the “Labour” Party can shit all over them in peace
Well that aged well. You’re all the same and not to be trusted
Now we know why Rishi Sunak refuses to negotiate with NHS staff. He wants the strikes to go ahead, so he can blame doctors and nurses for his failure. #PMQs
You know, not treating resident doctors like a piece of crap scraped off their shoes would be a good start. Politicians are the problem, not the staff.
Little does he know doctors actually want full chair restoration more than pay restoration
Quite surprised he didn’t offer some chairs to sit on rather than bins - that would have got him over the line
Dear resident doctors…
What’s wrong with 9% on student loans and a meal deal? It’s almost as if @wesstreeting deliberately forced a doctor’s strike, after half promises on some form of loan forgiveness in the papers last week. Who would have thought it? My goodness you’re making the Tories look good!

Streeting & Mackay are way out of their depth in their roles & it’s already starting to show It is well known on the quiet that Streeting has very little knowledge or interest in healthcare: his only aim is to get to No.10 “The beatings will continue until morale improves….”
Exclusive: Wes Streeting the and NHS have a new tactic for dealing with the BMA - they are effectively trying to break it, destroying its ability to mount a protracted wave of industrial action Sir Jim Mackey, the head of NHS England, told hospital leaders yesterday that…
I'm 58 a doctor since 1991, and a GP since 2007. Its not the fault of the Specialist drs in training that your NHS substandard, its not their fault ambulances don't come when people are collapsing in the street, operations being cancelled, I'm disappointed about the comments
In the run up to the Resident Doctors strike I would like to remind every member of the wider MDT that taking on extra shifts to line your grubby pockets is directly putting your boot into Resident Doctors The Firefighters knew what solidarity looked like No excuses No scabs
Firefighters were asked to cross the picket line and collect bins in Birmingham. Firefighters are trade unionists and we will never disrespect our comrades fight for fair pay. Solidarity with Birmingham's bin workers! #megapicket
So so much to do. Pay, student debt, no training posts, horrendous working conditions, toxic management, place holder allocations, rotational training, inflexible rotas, and he is showing no signs of addressing any of it. Strike hard seems the only way to go.
Sad the government hasn’t at least tried to resolve. No one wants to strike. Poor patients are ones that are let down.
'We need some credible offer' Dr Melissa Ryan from the British Medical Association told #BBCBreakfast why they are going ahead with a 5-day strike by Resident Doctors in England bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
Ian Wright’s reaction to Michelle Agyemang's late equaliser is all you need to see ❤️
Despite all the noise about student loans, Mr Streeting didn’t seriously raise it once in the negotiating room. Instead, he chose to brief the media. He could prevent these strikes today by paying doctors £22.67/hr. share.google/Lich7R7i6mwowq…
How dare you suggest that we have “disdain for patients”. This is why I couldn’t bring myself to vote for this dreadful Labour Party in the last election, because of absolute clowns like Wes Streeting who are frankly closet Tories. He should be absolutely ashamed. Get in the bin.
Strikes are on
At today's RDC meeting, we’ve voted to go ahead with strike action. Last week when we met @wesstreeting we were open to finding solutions to restore pay and improve working conditions. Today, we still do not have a credible offer on the table @Melissa_S_Ryan @RossNieuwoudt
