I’ll still be here but it’s time to diversify so if you’re heading over there I’ll be there as well.

Opinion from @JarrettBell. It’s time to put it in all-caps. WE ARE THE COMMANDERS. Go ahead, Josh Harris. C’mon, Roger Goodell. 🔗: tinyurl.com/4cn9te7v #JoshHarris #RogerGoodell #NFL #WashingtonCommanders #RaiseHail
I guess when you’re 82 and own the Dallas Cowboys you can troll your fan base like this.
Jerry Jones on if he has ever considered stepping down as Cowboys GM: “Yes, momentary. Small fractions of seconds.”
I truly detest this talking point. It’s just incredibly vapid and lacks any context. It’s propaganda.
Phillips is not in favor of college athletes being given employment status. "I haven't had one student athlete come up to me and say they want to be an employee."
They should call Memphis!
Jim Phillips says the ACC has been "innovative in its approach to conference revenues."
Oooooh.

If the cap was actually being enforced - big if - I think it would make college sports more interesting. Forces tough choices and risks. You get to see what schools really value and who the smart people are.
I think everyone gets why Kentucky would be the one to do something like this, but ... it's absolutely one hell of a risk. Surely the ratio isn't quite that radical.
Probably many factors here but foreign tourism cratering the way it is will hit Vegas especially hard and the nickel and diming of customers in recent years has just become obnoxious even if you have the means to afford it.
Las Vegas hotel occupancy dropped nearly 15% in June and another 17% in early July — the steepest decline among the top 25 U.S. tourism markets, according to new data from Smith Travel Research. 13.2% fewer international travelers visited Las Vegas in June compared to last year.
I'm allowed to acknowledge there is no shame in doing everything in your power to improve your athletic department's situation and also acknowledge this is an objectively hilarious tweet

Interesting update, especially the part about Fuente being self-aware enough to understand that he wouldn’t thrive in the current environment.
Justin Fuente will be TCU's radio color analyst this year. “The current state of things I am not super interested (to coach) in."
Disappointed to see this. Thought KVV added a lot to the mix and the narrative stuff and major look-back pods were terrific.

In the most lucrative membership proposal in college sports history, Memphis has made a $200 million offer to enter the Big 12, sources tell @YahooSports. For now, it does not have enough support but potentially sets a standard for all future expansion. bit.ly/40uAHeJ

Can you just have Scottie play every match? Is that allowed?
Here are the updated U.S. Ryder Cup standings. What stands out?
Wow this is cool

I've been thinking a lot about Scottie's comments this week, and I'm not sure anyone has viewed them the way I did, so if you don't mind, I want to share why they resonated with me: Don't let your job define who you are.
