Absolutely correct. Tennessee should play exactly one FCS game every season, and the opponent should ALWAYS be one of the many good FCS programs in this state. Everyone wins. FCS programs get money they need. FBS team (usually) gets to play reserves who are key for the future.
I’m a huge proponent of one FCS game every year vs another Tennessee team Everybody wins in that situation
So happy that Tennessee and Tennessee State are finally playing a football game. Long overdue. Tennessee, to its credit, has paid a lot of in-state FCS teams to play games in recent years. TSU needed to be in that mix, too. Every Tennessee FCS game should be an in-state game.
Long live Rich Hill and his best nickname in sports history. I hope he makes it to 50 in The Show.
Why not? There's already a DPOY and all-defense team in hoops. Reminds me of a former Vols basketball player years ago who had a great off-the-record reply when I asked about a teammate averaging like 20 ppg: "(Ish), he better, 'cause his man gets 20, too." Defense matters.
LeBron James said he thinks the NBA should award an OPOY, similar to the NFL: “You give an MVP and an OPOY… and it changes. It’s like ‘OK, so is it the best player? Is it the player that had the best season with their team? Maybe that’s OPOY.”
Go reread your bio and live up to those ideals.
Go work on a farm.
I think everyone gets why Kentucky would be the one to do something like this, but ... it's absolutely one hell of a risk. Surely the ratio isn't quite that radical.
According to @MattNorlander, Kentucky is believed to be dedicating 45% of its $20.5 million revenue-sharing budget to men's basketball for 2025-26. So, $9.225 million. Over three times what most SEC schools will do. If true, that's a bold move. on3.com/teams/kentucky…
I’m just calling it The Gulf, because I care more about protecting the earth’s natural wonders than whatever people want to call them. Call it the Gulf of Mexico. Call it the Gulf of America. Call it the Gulf of Fart. I don’t care. Just don’t pollute and over-fish it.
Gulf of America
I'm 42, and I wear one ... but only for yard work and farm work. Never in public. And definitely never on TV.
Bucket hats are appropriate for guys younger than 5 or older than 45.
Fresh redfish, collards, grits, hush puppies, fried pickles, lots of rum (or chocolate milk) and live blues tonight down on the gulf.

First one missed in forever. It was weird, for sure.
That’s awesome and all but it ain’t the same without you at SEC media days! No clue what’s going on without you, kid!
There isn’t a perfect way to do it, and there’s no way to avoid the natural biases of human beings, but Kiffin is spot on here. More could be done to minimize the stink on some of this stuff.
There's no hiding Lane Kiffin's disdain for the current playoff selection format, and he said he'd rather see "educated media people" on the committee than conference commissioners and ADs. "Do you put Robert Kraft on there to decide if the Dolphins get in the playoffs?"
Playing first base when Oneil Cruz is in the box has to be at least a bit scary, especially if you’re holding a runner at the bag.
Pretty soon the entire NL Central aside from the Cubs will be former Tennessee players.
Every single time I remember Klinsmann took Wondo over Donovan to that World Cup, I get angry all over again.
"I never had a problem with Landon. Until I told him he's not going to Brazil. It was purely a footballing decision. We felt his time was kind of over...and better players were going to Brazil." Jürgen Klinsmann on not taking Landon Donovan to World Cup 2014. @MichelobULTRA 🏆
Home for the next 9/10 days. There are some benefits to briefly being between jobs, I suppose.

It's gotten to a point where I almost love the New York Mets for trading Pete Crow-Armstrong to the Cubs. Thank you, Mets. Thank you.
