Rightly so ! Death in service payments are not a windfall - they are a vital support for loved ones left behind as they try to piece their lives back together!
Fantastic news - Labour have u-turned, ditching their terrible plans to impose Inheritance Tax on ‘Death in Service’ payments for unmarried service personnel. Mark Francois & I repeatedly called on Ministers to think again, so this is very welcome. telegraph.co.uk/politics/2025/…

So long Prince of Darkness - the haunting echo of his voice will live on forever 🖤 Growing up, his sound was the background to my childhood. While other kids heard lullabies, I heard Iron Man and Crazy Train and from there my love of rock grew. RIP Ozzy 🤘

Congratulations Cllr Ed Saville the new elected Conservative Community Councillor for Caerwent #Monmouthshire Conservative 66% Reform 34%

Today we remember the 52 people who were killed, the people who were injured and affected, the heroes who helped and those who lost loved ones because of the terrible events twenty years ago on the 7th of July 2005 in London. #LondonBombings #NeverForget #7July
I don’t get all the people mocking Rachel Reeves for crying. Being an MP is a bloody hard job, and it’s important to remember politicians are humans too 👍🏼
Last night I took on some weeding projects (took me 4 hours) around the village and was able to finish it off with a beer in the reopened Portskewett Inn and catch up with some residents 🧹 🍻

In their latest efforts to limit scrutiny of the executive, Labour/Green coalition in #Monmouthshire tried to illegally install one of their own to a key scrutiny role, Democratic Services Chair. After officer intervention, @CllrLisaDymock was elected to this important role

It was a pleasure to speak at the @mscymru event celebrating MS Awareness Week in the Pierhead today With 6,000 people in Wales living with MS, it is clear that we need to raise awareness of the support there is out there for those living with the condition. #MSConversations
"My dear friends, this is your hour. This is not victory of a party or of any class. It’s a victory of the great British nation as a whole. We were the first, in this ancient island, to draw the sword against tyranny." Winston Churchill, 8th May 1945. #VEDay80 🇬🇧
