Servant, Nerd, Operator... Scaled ecomm to $50mm/yr, now a 3PL - The Good Company - 2mm 📦/year. Never too busy. Very lucky. Building in the Midwest.
If you told me 4 years ago we’d go from shipping 250 orders a day to 10,000, all from referral business. I would have believed you. The eComm community is amazing. Long on eComm operators.
A man this smart that is also this humble is unstoppable.
I am getting cooked in the replies here. Guys like @pinpulleddrmf and @markbdelaney—friends whose military records vastly exceed my own—are rightfully pointing out that vets suffering PTSD have benefited greatly from psychedelic therapy. So a few points: 1. I apologize. When I…

Sean does this. We have succeeded because he helped.
What’s the point of winning, if you don’t help your friends win too?
Worst leader I ever worked for was the most resilient business owner. Bruno, a Sicilian restauranteur. Didn’t care about people, only product. Knew what an inch of printer paper cost. He would run customers out the door, but he survived the lows because his food was that good.
Reminder to everyone that @andrewjfaris gives wayyyyy more than he takes for the eComm community. Such a resource for all of us.
I have watched 5 very smart and competent people count the same stack of plates in a row and all come up with different numbers.
Great way to receive mixed case apparel because humans are awful at counting (try it manually, you will mess up the counts as well).
I recommend watching @jaybsauceda’s coverage of the Texas Flood aftermath. He’s an original friend of the eComm community, an operator and owner. Jay makes and improves communities. The stories are heart wrenching. On his rec: Donate to the Texas Hills Community Foundation
Who is investing heavily in LEAN in a fulfillment or 3PL environment? Not for the manufacturing part of the business, for the fulfillment side. I'll pay you handsomely for your time.
I use em dashes all the time and now everything I write looks like AI did it. I always put spaces around them though -- like this. Without--like this looks weird--no?
Why should our brand use a 3PL instead of fulfilling in-house? Because one of us has to live in Southwest Missouri and it doesn’t sound like you want it to be you.
Two years to find your next 3PL
The final version of the passed Big Beautiful Bill ends de minimis entries for all countries on July 1, 2027. Finally an actual notice period we can plan around!
Want to save money on returns? Spend more on processing them. That’s the counterintuitive insight I learned from @chadcarleton when he came on the podcast a couple weeks ago. Most brands treat returns like a writeoff. Get the product back, refund the customer, move on. In some…

Happy birthday to @michaelpatron0!! If ecom and YOLO had a baby, it would be you 😅 Thanks for always finding the loop holes and telling the truth, even at your own risk
