A lot of the trade “deals” have not been confirmed by the other country. Japan HAS confirmed the deal at a 15% tariff. Before the deal, their autos had a 25% tariff, Japanese cars now at 15% which is a big deal and likely why they signed the deal. China deal is not signed yet.

We have a tariff deal signed with Indonesia at a 19% rate. So everything imported from Indonesia, which is about $28 billion a year, has all pre-existing tariffs plus a new 19% tariff on top, under the new “reciprocal” tariff. China is at 30%, Vietnam is at 20%.

Why does everyone think the 3PL industry will consolidate? The opposite will happen. You used to need scale to get great carrier rates and to be able to afford to build your own software. Today most single facility, 100,000 sq ft 3PLs have better tech and the same carrier rates…

25% average tariff rate mean even if people spend the same $, they get fewer boxes so the demand for warehouse space went down. Ending 321 globally means less stuff ships direct from China, Vietnam, etc so the demand for US warehouse space is about to go up.
