This release is much closer to the original GPT-3 release than the ChatGPT release. A new paradigm, which some will find incredibly valuable for things even we at OpenAI can’t predict. But it’s not a mass product that just works and unlocks new value for everyone effortlessly.…
Rent caps are harmful for all parties involved in the long term, yet they remain popular
Though the policy is harmful, the overwhelming majority of Americans support capping rent increases. Americans overwhelmingly support many bad policies🧵

they fucking did it they genetically edited mosquitoes so they can’t transmit malaria. and made the mutation self-replicating. edited mosquitoes and every descendant can’t infect humans.
Pushing thinking longer with general purpose reasoning models gets us extremely far - Gold IMO medal under the same conditions as humans!
Today, we at @OpenAI achieved a milestone that many considered years away: gold medal-level performance on the 2025 IMO with a general reasoning LLM—under the same time limits as humans, without tools. As remarkable as that sounds, it’s even more significant than the headline 🧵
I wonder if this will still be a relevant benchmark in a year - thanks for creating it!
Today, we're announcing a preview of ARC-AGI-3, the Interactive Reasoning Benchmark with the widest gap between easy for humans and hard for AI We’re releasing: * 3 games (environments) * $10K agent contest * AI agents API Starting scores - Frontier AI: 0%, Humans: 100%
I had a reminder to check in on how Milei is doing in Argentina - seems like this outcome is pretty good - interesting!
Congratulations - perhaps the last time a human prevails at programming! Looking forward to diving deep at specific problems :)
Humanity has prevailed (for now!) I'm completely exhausted. I figured, I had 10h of sleep in the last 3 days and I'm barely alive. I'll post more about the contest when I get some rest. (To be clear, those are provisional results, but my lead should be big enough)
One of the most important areas to keep investing in, to improve everyone’s lives
this story is going wildy viral on reddit. ChatGPT flagged a hidden gene defect that doctors missed for a decade. ChatGPT ingested the patient’s MRI, CT, broad lab panels and years of unexplained symptoms. It noticed that normal serum B12 clashed with nerve pain and fatigue,…
I’m not big on identities, but I am extremely proud to be American. This is true every day, but especially today—I firmly believe this is the greatest country ever on Earth. The American miracle stands alone in world history. I believe in techno-capitalism. We should encourage…

Acquihires seem to be the only proven successful exit for the newgen AI startups. Apple is the last huge company to make their move here, and finally jump start their new gen AI team. To Apple spending $10b to get back in the game is rational, justifying crazy high valuations.
If Apple buys Perplexity, that would be its biggest ever acquisition
I love this hack - does anyone have evals on drop in quality depending on the speedup rate?
Lovely hack to pay less to OpenAI when transcribing. Just speed up the audio you send to them.
“AI privilege” should be as strong as lawyer, doctor or spousal privilege!
AI privacy is critically important as users rely on AI more and more. the new york times claims to care about tech companies protecting user’s privacy and their reporters are committed to protecting their sources. but they continue to ask a court to make us retain chatgpt…
I love this new cool art form. Mars looks pretty tasty 😋
If you cut the Sun or a planet, what would it look like inside: *AI
Wow, how much to buy the setup?
I just had my first robot massage in Boston’s Seaport District, and it was incredible! Warm, robot arms knead & compress exactly where you need it. I’ve suffered from shoulder and back issues since a major surgery, and I’ve never felt better. The experience was truly impressive!
