Squat depth has nothing to do with Powerlifting standards… It has everything to do with stimulus. Range changes stimulus. Range limits force deficits. If we want strong and robust athletes, they must train through full ranges!
A solid middle school lifting program is key to building successful HS athletes. Fundamentals, great movement patterns, & building confidence in the weight room gives them a launchpad for success in HS.

You don’t “get sore” from sound training. You get sore from being physically unprepared. Avoiding training because you have a “tournament coming up” is proof we are failing our kids when it comes to teaching them proper behaviors pertaining to overall health & performance.
