Farms are closing at a record rate after Rachel Reeves’ disastrous budget. Labour came into power last year on a promise of growth. Now we see businesses closing, industrial action and a recession looming. People are realising Keir Starmer has absolutely nothing to offer.

I raised the issue of fraudulent use of Aspen cards with the Home Secretary @YvetteCooperMP in April. The Asylum Minister’s only concern was that, “…disclosure could undermine the ability of the Home Office to secure maximum value for money in future contract negotiations” The…

Your Party launch an absolute masterclass in political PR.
It’s not called Your Party!
Phone theft is out of control. Why? Because the odds are stacked in favour of the criminals. Only about 1% of thefts lead to an arrest. The police must be backed so they can go after them.
I’ve repeatedly raised the issue of ASPEN cards with the Government, the pre-paid cards loaded with £50 a week for asylum seekers to buy amenities. 6,537 asylum seekers have used these cards to gamble with at the taxpayers expense. The Government has completely lost control.

“…you only got your MP job because you’re a black” At this point, you can only laugh at the daily invective of being labelled a ‘DEI hire’ by anonymous far right accounts.
MPs make less than low level IT contractors, and you only got your MP job because you're a black
So many questions for Nigel Farage. Rapid Deployment Cells only have a 15-year lifespan. What category are these prisons? Which available MOD sites will they be built on? Why use Royal Engineers Works Groups? How will the prisons be staffed? And how much will it cost, all in?

As the Environment Secretary Steve Reed takes to the airwaves to announce what the Government is doing to tackle sewage, here’s Feargal Sharkey to outline how everything announced are existing policies announced by the Conservatives in 2022-23.
Well what an incredible morning this is going to be. Labour govt trumpeting a long list of stuff they claim they've done to deal with the water industry. Tories say they just nicked their old policies, thing is the Tories are right. Example. 1. All sewage overflows to have…
I call bullshit. You’ve spent the last 48 hours calling me a ‘traitor’ for not drawing attention to a leaked spreadsheet with our special forces and MI6 officers’ names on. But we’re meant to believe this tweet attacking me as a traitor for having a Jewish wife & family was…
One of the team who post to my X account accidentally pressed like on an awful antisemitic tweet earlier today. I apologise for this. The post also refers to “brown savages”, and is equally racist against me. Clearly it was not intentional. The amount of antisemitism and…
Jaguar Land Rover has today announced the loss of 500 jobs.
Last month, I promised workers at Jaguar Land Rover that I would protect their jobs. I kept that promise.
I dont agree with votes at 16, but this decision opens a whole range of questions for Labour. If you can vote at 16, why shouldn’t you be able to drive a car, buy alcohol or cigarettes, marry without parental consent or serve on operations in the armed forces? So why not those?

It is unconscionable to think that strike action by Junior doctors has contributed to patient deaths. This shows the looming strike action will cost lives. Those responsible for neglecting their responsibilities, leading to patient deaths, should face the strongest sanctions.

Last week I highlighted the level of racist abuse here directly to @X’s European Government Affairs Director. Made a huge difference.
Last month, I promised workers at Jaguar Land Rover that I would protect their jobs. I kept that promise.
We saw yesterday during the debate how potentially divided Labour are over the danger of leaving Northern Ireland veterans open to prosecution. Al Carns is a good man and I’m not surprised to see him on resignation watch taking a principled stance in opposition to this policy.
EXC: Veterans minister on resignation watch over Troubles legacy plans Alistair Carns has told Hilary Benn, the Northern Ireland secretary, that he cannot support proposals to repeal the law that gives servicemen immunity from prosecution thetimes.com/article/bad7ac…
This afternoon I spoke as Parliament debated the Government’s plans to repeal legislation that will see our Northern Ireland veterans pursued through the courts. Repealing this legislation will allow the IRA to rewrite history. We must stand by our veterans.
“We had planned to double the budget of our armies by 2030. We will do so by 2027.” Puts our 0.2% increase in defence spending into perspective doesn’t it. I wonder if Macron gave Starmer the heads up about this last week?
Nous avions prévu de doubler le budget de nos armées d’ici 2030. Nous le ferons d’ici 2027.
There’s always a tweet.
NEW: GDP figures see dramatic drop to -0.1% in March. This adds to the worries families already face from the cost of living crisis. If the PM and Cabinet come back from their Away Day in Staffordshire today with anything less than an Emergency Budget, they will have failed.
“That welfare u-turn last week cost £5bn, now to put that into context that is equal to the 0.2% that Labour has pledged to increase defence spending by” On ITV Anglia last night discussing the how the Chancellor will make her sums add up without tax rises in the Autumn budget.
