Full OOH strike from next week ? We need to get this resolved ASAP
Also NZ: - free meals - all professional fees, exams and courses covered (latter including transport and accommodation even if abroad) - short staffed during shift? = supplementary pay to compensate for covering 2 team roles. Felt truly valued for the first time in my career.
Who do we believe Wes Streeting or the BMA? Who met who in the best faith? Honesty? Did you actually have an offer of an increase in pay?

Male life expectancy in Glasgow is also 73, meaning if the pension age were to rise to 74 that the average Glaswegian man wouldn't even claim a state pension. There's massive class injustices in these proposals, including the forms of work we'd be asking folk to do in their 70s.
State pension age could rise to 74. Male life expectancy in areas such as Blackpool is 73 years. Something needs to change.
All healthcare degrees should have increased student loan to account for the longer academic year.

I found this property on the Rightmove Android app and wanted you to see it: rightmove.co.uk/properties/163… Reduce by £25k in just two weeks ? So what was the real market price /potential price ?
Permanent out of hours strike is the only way forward to end this quickly ?
It seems that either @UHSFT don’t know the law or are trying to trick doctors out of their right to strike. Any resident doctor in England with BMA membership or no union membership can strike. You do not need to “register” with the BMA. Strike hard.
I can not understand the need to reconfigure GPs through any other lens than achieving a specific Doctor:Patient ratio. Access. Continuity. Care.
I had a degree in Pharmacology before training as a PA. Add in my PA degree and 9 months of clinical practice and I still hadn’t scratched the surface of what we covered in pre-clinical year of GEM. Pharmacology + PA course also doesn’t make me ready to prescribe
This is negligent. Also frankly, shame on the ACP lead for making this post and putting ACPs on the Haem registrar rota “Ah yeah, I don’t have MBBS, MRCP, or the years of GenMed experience and I’m never gonna do FRCPath but I do fancy being a Haem reg with none of the training!”
🚨London Doctors🚨 Did you know your London Weighting has been left behind compared to NHS colleagues and other public sector workers? How far behind, you ask? Take a look!👇🏼 Your @BMALondon will be launching our campaign to tackle this very soon!✊🏼 Watch this space! 👀
This is completely bonkers, surely? @RCEMpresident @RCEM_VP @RCollEM
This is from Warrington ED. I have some questions. - if there’s no consultant at night, has this ED been going against RCEM and BMA guidance and forcing residents to prescribe? - what is the cost effectiveness of a consultant seeing a patient THEN a PA seeing them, and isn’t…
At this point, it seems that this might be a widespread revenue-generating scheme. I’m still digging, and this story is far from over. Until then, check out the viral videos I posted on my IG and TikTok pages — and follow along! More to come🍿
