Thirty years after his father was drafted, Kent State OF and Upper St. Clair grad Jake Casey (Sean's son) is selected in the 15th round (442nd overall) by the Blue Jays. Jake bounced back from Tommy John surgery to hit .356 with 17 HR and 55 RBIs in 2025.

Flashback to when new Pirates draft pick Dylan Mathiesen struck out 10 and earned the win as Montour edged West Mifflin to earn a spot in the state final. Mathiesen used to rock the black and gold and hopes to again one day, too. #WPIAL

The Pirates select Liberty RHP and Montour grad Dylan Mathiesen in the 13th round (383rd overall). Mathiesen led the WPIAL in strikeouts his senior season in 2022 when he helped Montour win its first PIAA title. ⚾️🏆
