The bigger development was Logan Gilbert putting the glimpses of greatness he’s shown into totality, but Cal Raleigh’s 39th homer was easily the night’s highlight. “You kind of got the sense that he wanted to be that guy in the big moment tonight.” mlb.com/news/logan-gil…
FINAL: Mariners 1, Brewers 0 RECORD: 54-47 Logan Gilbert was brilliant, Cal Raleigh gave him just enough run support with his 39th homer -- and for the third time this year, they win a 1-0 game.
Dan Wilson will go to the bullpen with Logan Gilbert at 86 pitches and with one out here in the 7th inning, with the Mariners clinging to a 1-0 lead.

Logan Gilbert has cleared the 6th inning, scoreless -- the deepest he’s pitched in a game since Opening Day. He’s surrendered just one hit with zero walks and nine strikeouts.
The first hit of the night off Logan Gilbert is a 103 mph, leadoff single from Jackson Chourio here in the 5th inning. A splitter that hung up and over the plate in a 2-2 count.

The Mariners have K'd seven times among their 14 batters so far tonight, but they will no longer have to face Brewers rookie sensation Jacob Misiorowski, who will get an early hook in a workload-management decision after a two-out walk to Jorge Polanco here in the 4th inning.
Julio Rodríguez just smoked an 82.7 mph comebacker off Jacob Misiorowski for a leadoff single here in the 4th inning. But the Brewers starter, who deftly moved his arm out of the way, quickly waves off their athletic training staff and remains in this game.
Logan Gilbert has gone 12 up and 12 down vs. the red-hot Brewers here in Seattle, with half of those outs via K.
Logan Gilbert, striking out the side here in the 1st inning. His K rate for the season is up to 36.1%, highest in MLB (min. 60 IP)
Given everything that Kade Anderson accomplished at LSU -- and more so, the workload accumulated -- could the No. 3 overall pick be in Seattle as soon as 2026? “That's a lot to ask of a guy. But we're seeing more and more guys fly through systems.” mlb.com/news/mariners-…
The Mariners are calling up lefty Brandyn Garcia as a bullpen reinforcement. The 11th-round pick in their loaded 2023 Draft class is their No. 13 prospect by @MLBPipeline. Corresponding move: RHP Juan Burgos optioned to Triple-A Tacoma.
The Mariners entered today on a five-game win streak, with their All-Star on the mound and a commanding lead early while playing an Astros team without many of their best players -- while at home. Was it a spoiled opportunity? “I wouldn't say that.” mlb.com/news/mariners-…
FINAL: Mariners 3, Astros 11 RECORD: 53-46 Their 11 unanswered runs surrendered was their most in a game this season.
It’s now 9-3 here in Seattle after Julio Rodríguez loses a line drive off the bat of Taylor Trammell that goes for a two-run double here in the 7th inning. All of Houston’s runs in this game have been unanswered since Seattle took a three-run lead early.

The Mariners nearly got a run back with two outs here in the 6th inning, but Miles Mastrobuoni is thrown out at the plate attempting to score from first base on a double into the left-center gap from J.P. Crawford. He was initially ruled safe before Houston challenged.

And another solo homer from Bryan Woo -- this one from former Mariners outfielder Taylor Trammell -- puts them further behind, 5-3 here in the 6th inning. A 95.5 mph sinker that bled back over the plate in a 1-2 count.

And the Mariners find themselves trailing for the first time today -- 4-3 here in the 6th inning -- after Bryan Woo surrendered a 400-foot, solo homer to Christian Walker. A 93.7 mph, center-cut fastball on the first pitch.

This game is tied at 3-3 here in the 5th inning, on a two-run double off Bryan Woo from Cam Smith that one-hopped the right-field corner. Cooper Hummel and Shay Whitcomb score within feet of each other.
