Over the moon to have completed @TheLondon10K in just under 56 mins, and raised more than £800 for @ParkinsonsUK. Brilliant day for a brilliant cause and thankfully the heatwave held off.

Protecting believers, not beliefs. For example: bacon pinned to mosque doors, bricks thrown through mosque windows, hijabs being pulled from women’s heads, abuse directed at people because of their religion. All things that have happened to my Muslim constituents.
There’s no such thing as an atheist Muslim. Defining ‘Islamophobia’ isn’t about protecting a people. It’s about protecting a set of ideas. In what world should a set of ideas be protected in law?
I see this has found all the right people. Nice spin claiming that the suspensions were ONLY because they voted against the welfare bill. Clearly untrue. There were 47 MPs that rebelled, 4 have been suspended.
If you were elected as a Labour candidate, it shouldn’t be shocking that voting with the Labour whip is a bare minimum requirement.
Like an arsonist asking where the fire extinguisher is located.
Glad there is a Conservative YIMBY group now, and I wish them well. But in order to succeed, they would have to turn the party into pretty much the opposite of what it currently is. Which seems ambitious.
Orgreave was a dark day. Hundreds of miners were brutally attacked. This Labour Government’s announcement of an inquiry is welcome news. Forty years have passed. The truth will out.
I’m really pleased to have helped deliver this significant change. It’s not perfect but it will mean tens of millions of pounds of extra investment in UK music. Source: BBC News share.google/BlFGzOj59XwRyX…
Nothing short of a disgrace. Unite members will rightly ask how on earth this was allowed to happen.
EXCL: Former Unite boss Len McCluskey enjoyed private jet flights and football tickets arranged by the firm who built a multi-million pound hotel for the union, a report seen by BBC finds bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
In memory of my sister Margaret, we launched a Glioblastoma drug trial. Now, Margaret’s Trial is open on the NHS - and offering real hope. Ben, diagnosed with a Glioblastoma in 2022, saw his tumour vanish. His story helped make this happen. Watch here:
Have you given back the £70,000 you owe the taxpayer yet?
Labour run Basildon Council has one of the worst records for breaching Temporary Accommodation standards for vulnerable people we have ever seen. Let me be crystal clear. There is no housing available in Basildon or Thurrock for fighting age males who have entered our country…
Protect nature – but don’t derail Britain’s much-needed planning reform. I’ve shared my insight with @LabourList on why fast-tracking reform is essential to grow the economy &meet the UK’s net-zero goals. This is the time to ensure reforms are radical - not give into pressure
After years of drift and delay, Britain finally has the chance to fix its broken planning system. Learn more about why fast-tracking planning reform is essential to grow the economy and meet the country’s net-zero goals from TBI’s @ToneLangengen ⬇️ labourlist.org/2025/07/planni…
Britain stands at a revolutionary moment. For too long politics has failed those it was meant to serve. A year ago we came together to change that. Today we set out a bold vision to rebuild the economy and restore the democratic contract with the British people. 1/
Countless Labour voters have told us they are disheartened by the amendments to the Planning and Infrastructure Bill. Here’s a selection of these voters calling on the Government to not abandon the reforms we so desperately need.
To be clear to Mr Hollinrake, the absolute mess of the planning system, woefully insufficient housing supply, and non-existent economic growth, that this Labour government was elected to fix, is the shameful legacy of the 14 years of his party's mismanagement and cowardice.
We've been clear this Bill could go much further to reversing Britain's economic and natural decline. These amendments don’t change the Bill’s underlying ‘win‑win’ approach. We’ve put forward a set of practical further changes to ensure we can build what the country needs. 1/3
Labour Yimby are disappointed by the Government’s decision to concede to the Nimby lobby on the planning reforms this country so desperately needs. For the first time the Labour Government is backing the blockers, not the builders. 1/
Last night, we had our first monthly TYI Industry Drinks in a packed room with special guest @AbdiDuale_ We spoke about the latest challenges facing the sector - and the urgent need for more homes 👇
