Disabled people in financial crisis has DOUBLED since 2022–23. This research was DELAYED until AFTER the vote it seems. • 52% can’t afford support • 61% can’t heat their homes • 64% can’t access essential care • 18% have had to use food banks Evil.tinyurl.com/3ufxtff6
Beyond four walls... the lost meaning of a life in enforced isolation...

Another aspect of the PFD for Kaine Fletcher - "Kaine was assessed by the community psychiatric nurse not to require a Mental Health Act Assessment, and so the police did not exercise their s136 powers." Section 136 MHA is NOT about whether someone needs a MHA assessment.
NEW PFD NOTICE - This one is a chuffing mess: HM Coroner for Nottinghamshire taking the relatively unusual step of issuing a PFD notice before evidence is complete, such is her concern about the state of s135/136 policies for police and ambulance. judiciary.uk/prevention-of-…

Utterly disgusting and even more so because the coroner thinks that learning disabilities is a cause of death.
Terrible indictment of our times. A very ill mum died despite phoning an ambulance & her daughter with Downs died probably through starvation. They were not found for months. Not a tragic situation it's about the breakdown of our services & communities nottinghampost.com/news/nottingha…
Thank you @johnharris1969 for championing my book this week, and people with learning disabilities always. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
What happens when I can no longer care? An interactive and participative workshop. Lots of questions asked by parent carers. Calmly and clearly answered by Lucy from @irwinmitchell. "A great and convenient source of important and sometimes complex information."

Removing disabled children’s rights and forcing them into units without any choice in order to save money is an appallingly regressive move. This is segregation, not inclusion. #SaveOurChildrensRights theguardian.com/education/2025…
So good to have the support of my friend Jane Asher for my book.
