Did I catch a “what makes it hard on gameday?” Yes sir! But straight up. Respect both guys a ton.
Purposeful Training Can Still Be Grueling Make sure to check out my conversation with @TKPhysPrep wherever you pod & on the MatchQuarters YouTube channel. Pod Links: matchquarters.com/p/tmodern-foot… --
1 - Ability to “drop” that front knee & create great shin angle. 2- Ability to “roll over front foot” 3- Strong core:= stay rigid & not leak power 4-Backside arm tight on angle tackle. “Punch” it through not a wide swing,
Not sure anyone does as good a job with RTP as this crew
Great exercise to make athletes more comfortable interacting with the ground (such as mat returns for wrestlers) and general contact prep
Interesting little insight video. Plus now that I think of it, I never played for a gameday weight-in/out team. Disruptive to preparation or such a normal part of daily/practice routine should be no big deal?
Angle Path doesn’t have to mean Angle Tackle. “Square is Strong” and get a good bite of the front side. Be Defender 2. Also, realism: sometimes, when really overmatched with speed, or out leveraged by play, you will need to turn and run.

Getting anxious for Camp? Four good ones from NRL-W (Australian Pro League. Just do me a favor, have sound up for #4!
NMS and mastery of the basics. Put foot into ground explosively. Stiffness of plant leg and “bang” explode out of CoD with speed.
Predictable, part of learning process and once you see it, you can’t u see it. You start to see the exact moment the pressure gets big and they say, “nope” and turn shoulders or fall off to the side.

Know the game. Understand the game. See the game. Feel the game. Scanning and processing.
What an absolute legend of a human. Honored, blessed, just happy to call this man a friend.
13 weeks ago I was told to go make peace with my family, make sure my Will was in order & contact Hospice. Then I could only high bar squat the bar for 3. 8 weeks later I could do 95 lbs for multiple sets of 3. Today I hit 205 for 3 on quarter squats. #Unbreakable

“You can tell a lot about a player by how they get up. If it’s bad they are either not athletic, unfit or playing too heavy. When you see them start using hands and pushing off their knee, it’s time to sub them. -Pops Ryland, my father and longtime rugby coach.
This freaking guy! NDM always killing it

You really should listen. @RichieGrayGSI is brining it. So full of nuggets and absolute great one-liner
If you not a rugby fan or familiar with Kolbe, his YouTube highlights worth a watch. Also one of my favorite clips of eyes locked in during tracking.
Cheslin Kolbe summed up in two plays. Steps a player with his right foot , steps a player with his left then 30 seconds later bounces a hooker. Best wing in the world
