The first designation in Hennepin County 🥹 #D4History
It was bittersweet to honor the designation of Pioneers & Soldiers Cemetery as part of the National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom this weekend. Learn more about Hester, Woodford, Charles and William now at @hennepinhistory’s exhibition highlighting our freedom seekers.
🗣D4!!! This is a big deal! Please join us on June 7th and learn about the critical connections our community has to the underground railroad. This designation is one of the first of its kind in the state and it's right outside your backdoor.

That's right Minneapolis, we're ranking! I am beyond excited to rank Senator Fateh as my 2nd choice this November. He has brought home wins from the Capitol that have directly benefited our city. I know his collaborative leadership is what we need, right now, in our great city!
I am honored to be the second choice vote of Commissioner Angela Conley (@D4Commish). This November, we can change the status quo in Minneapolis and ensure our city truly serves everyone. I'm excited to continue building our broad coalition and invest in our communities!
I'm the only Commissioner whose constituency consists solely of residents of MPLS. I look forward to the new path for our city that Dr. DeWayne Davis will create. I align deeply with his vision rooted in our humanity and I can't wait to rank him #1 on my ballot come November!

B. Robert Lewis is Minnesota Black History you should know. Since I've received this award from the MN Public Health Association, I think about the legacy of our first Black Senator often. Thank you to my colleagues for surprising me with a highlight acknowledging this award.
