Opinion: Canada’s sexual-assault law is not the problem - it’s the application of it theglobeandmail.com/opinion/articl…
Canada is not "at the end." Far from it. People are sick of this far-right nonsense, always talking down our country. But Caroline Elliott doesn't just talk down Canada, she talks down First Nations people as well. The one thing that Caroline Elliott says that makes some…

Woke up to wonderful news. Kevin, Darian and Jesse are safe and sound! Tremendously thankful for the heroic work of the rescue team. The three drillers demonstrated remarkable courage over the 60+ hours of being trapped underground – now, finally reunited with their loved ones.
I can’t describe the relief we all feel knowing that these three workers are going to be able to go home to their families. My sincere thanks go out to everyone who worked tirelessly to make this rescue happen! facebook.com/share/p/16vevZ…

Maybe the whole kits pool niche outrage is just a distraction? 👇🏼 #VanPoli
After 2 hours and 50 speakers, ABC's Sarah Kirby Yung moved an amendment to completely get rid of all the thoughtful resolutions created by the Arts & Culture Advisory Committee, and replace them with an entirely new motion that speakers and advocates have had no input on. Shame!
Kits Pool does not have a capacity problem or an online reservation system problem. Except for one day, July 12, no walk-ins were turned away. #facts Unlike Kits Pool, it’s Mayor Sim’s ear which has VIP-only access — even on something as silly as this. vancouversun.com/news/local-new…
"He's shown no curiousity... he's simply listening to some individuals who have access to his private phone number." #vanpoli
Yesterday, Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim spoke out on Kits Pool's reservation system, saying that it needs to go. Today, Vancouver Park Board Commissioner Scott Jensen dismissed the Mayor's comments, and suggests he needs to visit the pool himself to understand what's really been…
We have other pools in the city, New Brighton has lots of room to swim today! The reservation system at all our pools works well for many people. Unless of course you want to walk to Kits Pool + park your towel there for six hours. 🙄 #vanpoli vancouversun.com/news/local-new…
Concerned to hear of an emergency at the Red Chris Mine where three miners are trapped. We have dispatched a senior geotechnical inspector to support the company's efforts. Our thoughts are with the workers, their families and those involved in rescue efforts.

Woke up to see I’ve officially passed one million subscribers today!! Thanks so much everyone! It means a lot to me to know my videos mean this much to so many people! 🥳
Does this make sense to you @vancolour? Why would disability rates in BC not have the same inflation protection as the minimum wage? 2 people on disability struggling to go see a 95 year old relative in Nainaimo from Victoria. Made inaffordable via a 5+month rural transit strike.
We have another 5 week month starting on Wed July 23rd between BC Disability cheque days which is brutal. 4 years in a row the BC Gov decided again this year not raise the rates or even at the minimum tie to inflation. #NoMorePovertyPWD #bcpoli #Dignity #RaiseTheRates #COLA

BREAKING: Vancouver City Manager Paul Mochrie is out. Mayor Ken Sim says it was a "mutual" decision. Karen Levitt steps in as Acting City Manager during the search for a permanent replacement. #vanpoli #bcpoli
Hearing from friends in the Downtown Eastside that there are “content creators” who come into the neighbourhood and offer people a rock in exchange for being filmed while smoking it. THIS IS UNETHICAL. Keep in mind, this is the “people need to know what’s happening down here”…
Friendly reminder: ABC Vancouver — Mayor Ken Sim’s party — had a supermajority on Park Board (six of seven seats) to get all the things done... ...until Mayor Sim booted three Park Board commissioners out of his party for refusing to support his plan to abolish it.
Last night, the Park Board chose delay over action, and Vancouver residents are the ones paying the price. Despite overwhelming public feedback calling for the immediate removal of the outdated Kits Pool advance booking system, the motion to scrap it was delayed until Sep. 15th,…
Good article on the BC Human Rights tribunal affirming the denial of accessibility accommodations by an employer for an immunocompromised person constitutes discrimination on the basis of disability. I'm quoted in this piece. pressprogress.ca/human-rights-t…
