Was at Shea for this. Also there for his 1983 return and Opening Day start against Steve Carlton. Was also at his Hall of Fame induction in 1992. Oh, and once batted against him two years after he retired.
7/24/1988 The Mets retire Tom Seaver’s number 41 and induct him into the team’s Hall of Fame. The Franchise becomes the third Met to have his number retired.
