💡 We've got what it takes - to create jobs, to create growth, and to create a more prosperous Scotland. 🏴 What we need is the powers of independence to realise our full potential. 🤝 Together, let's build that better nation.
I am delighted to reopen the Scottish Connections Fund. With grants of up to £15,000 available, the fund supports projects that strengthen links between Scotland and its global diaspora. More info 👇 edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/opinion/c…
Labour are increasing the cost of your energy bills after promising to cut them. independent.co.uk/news/business/…
You wonder who briefed the minister who came out with this howler.
My letter to UK Gov Minister Steve Reed asking him to retract his false statements about the condition of water in Scotland. IWC was able to report we’re in a much better position than rUk with 87% “high” or “good” status. Public ownership works. scottishgov-newsroom.prgloo.com/correspondence…
If Keir Starmer believes in a respectful relationship with @scotgov, he needs his Environment Secretary to retract his totally inaccurate comments about Scotland’s water. Our rivers are cleaner, our bills are lower - and public ownership delivers for people, not profit. 👇
Despite what Labour are claiming, Scottish water is world renowned. 87% of Scotland’s entire water environment is assessed by SEPA as having a ‘high’ or ‘good’ classification for water quality – up from 82% in 2014. Public ownership is not just possible, it works in Scotland!

There’s strong support for a Scottish visa from Scottish businesses - which would mean we could recruit workers for our unique needs. ✅ 70% back a Scottish visa. ✅ Most say the Scottish Government understands their needs better than Westminster.👇 heraldscotland.com/news/25324809.…
🆕70% of businesses support the introduction a tailored “Scottish visa” and the vast majority think the Scottish Government should have the power to do so. 💛@theSNP has long called for this, but Westminster is standing in the way. 👇Read more: heraldscotland.com/news/25324809.…
What’s happening in Gaza is intolerable - and we are clear that it must stop. Even places of worship aren’t spared - with an attack on a church in Gaza injuring a priest who visited Scotland last year.👇 thetimes.com/uk/scotland/ar…
This statement @WFP is unbearable to read. The international community must require the Israeli Government to stop these attacks and there must be a ceasefire now to allow humanitarian aid to flow.
WFP Statement | #Gaza On the morning of 20 July, a 25 truck WFP convoy carrying vital food assistance crossed the Zikim border point destined for starving communities in northern Gaza. Shortly after passing the final checkpoint beyond the Zikim crossing point into Gaza, the…

Maybe the most important part of this- during the next parliament, there will be nearly 1,000,000 people who couldn't vote in 2014 who will now be eligible. I'm one of them. Democracy isn't a one off event, it's a process.
Scotland is a nation, and must have the right to decide our own future. 🏴 That’s why we’re putting independence front and centre of our campaign in 2026. 👇

🏴 @theSNP will be resolutely making the case for Scotland to be an independent nation in this election. 👇 The First Minister is right that we must build the strongest possible support, and turn it into a resounding victory for independence on May 7th. #VoteSNP
It’s time for the one change that will actually make a difference for Scotland, for the fresh start our nation needs so badly, writes @JohnSwinney ✍️
5/ So let’s imagine a better Scotland - and this time, let’s finish what we started. A Scotland where we always get the governments we vote for, use our energy wealth to benefit our people, lower bills and eradicate child poverty. That future is possible, if we all build it.
4/ That’s why we must: 🏴 Win the case for independence 🏴 Mobilise our movement to demand Scotland’s right to choose 🏴 Speak to a new generation 🏴 Deliver a decisive SNP victory in 2026 That’s the credible route to how we can win.
3/ With people getting poorer on Labour’s watch and the threat of Farage becoming PM, Scotland can’t afford more Westminster control. 2026 isn’t just another election. It’s a defining moment - for who we are as a nation, for our future, and our right to choose.
