The scenes in Gaza are horrifying to watch. Israel is deliberately starving civilians. Children are dying as food and aid are blocked. Nothing can justify it. Enough is enough. The UK government must force Israel to let aid into Gaza, and the killing must stop. Now.

Scotland has 400 museums across the country doing incredible work to preserve and present our history and culture. The last few years have presented real challenges, so I’m pleased Scot Gov is providing £4m for Museums Galleries Scotland’s ‘Museum Futures Programme’.

Over the weekend in Gaza, we saw yet more mass shootings & killings of people seeking @UN aid – an atrocious & inhumane act which I utterly condemn. We need an immediate ceasefire, the immediate release of all hostages & unimpeded humanitarian access.

People in #Gaza, including UNRWA colleagues, are fainting due to severe hunger. They are being starved. Meanwhile, just a few kilometers away from Gaza supermarkets and shops are loaded with food and other goods. Lift the siege. Allow UNRWA to bring in food and medicines.

Many children in Gaza need evacuation for treatment. Without it they will die. We're ready to save the lives of as many kids as we can. But we need the UK Gov to work with us. I want to work with the PM to save the lives of Palestinian children. itv.com/news/2025-07-1…

Israel has crossed so many lines in the war in Gaza, and today, we have another, an attack on a Christian church in Gaza and the loss of three lives with others injured. The international community must apply the strongest pressure on Israel for this war to stop immediately.
