The world needs more men with your sense of humor!
In general, you will have a much better time in life if you assume that it is your responsibility to prompt the interactions you would like to have
Two big Ninth Circuit rulings today: 1. Court rules that Oregon requirement that parents seeking to adopt a kid from foster care agree to "respect, accept, and support" kid's sexual orientation and gender identity violates the First Amendment. Opinion by (excellent Trump…
If "three strikes" laws seem overly draconian to too many people, we could easily get ~the same outcomes with ten strikes
A third of all shoplifting arrests in NYC in 2022 were due to just 327 people. That's 0.00385% of the population doing 33% of the crime! This guy is one of them. Lock him up.
Quite incredible how deeply @fcpsnews loathes Asian children.
soon, the same people who pushed for these changes to Thomas Jefferson High School: "what happened to this school? it used to be so good"
Here’s what I found really surprising about it is that there is no performative cruelty. It actually seems well thought through and compassionate
The White House just released a really good executive order on cleaning up America's streets, re-institutionalizing insane people, and ending open air drug abuse and the problems it creates. Here's a quick overview🧵
The immediate issue is technical: Whether claims against the Government for money belong in the court of claims rather than in district court as injunctive cases. But the bigger issue is not. It is no less than whether lower courts are bound by law. 2/
This is what Hulk Hogan took from us. May God reward him richly.
So Hulk Hogan died. As a former Gawker writer (as are all Gawker writers thanks to Hulk Hogan), I won't be the first or the last to say 'fuck that guy.' Dance on any grave you want to, but this one's mine.
Probably the greatest thing Hulk Hogan ever did was kill this wretched site.

Texas is actually one of the more fair maps in America; Democrats got 40% of the House vote & 34% of House seats; reasonable Compare to California, where Republicans got 40% of the vote and 18% of the seats. Or Illinois, where GOP got **47%** of the House vote and 18% of seats
This is not democracy.
After Bryan Caplan denounces DEI in April, George Mason University president Gregory Washington gets emotional because they didn't also have someone pro-DEI speak. Says it would've been the "inclusive and equity thing" to do. The GMU econ department must be protected from this.
Almost every single faculty member at my university who has spoken publicly at university events about the university’s DEI policies has supported them. But President Greg Washington expressed outrage that one time, Bryan Caplan of the Economics department publicly demurred. so…

HUGE WIN at the 9th Circuit for our client Jessica Bates! This widowed Oregon mom was categorically barred from adopting a foster child—regardless of the child’s age or beliefs—because she wouldn’t promise to affirm gender ideology. The 9th Circuit ruled that Oregon’s policy…
Makes me curious, has anyone checked what the lizardman constant is if sample is limited to the gifted?
An IQ of 130 is two SDs above the mean, which is a convenient round number that was initially used to define gifted by Louis Terman and it stuck. It cuts off the top 2.3% of a normal distribution. It's arbitrary, but it's also broad enough to include almost everyone whom teachers…

This is true. But why not say gifted doesn’t start until 140 or 150? Serious question. Just curious what would make it start at 130?
Sticking with the 2000s reality show theme, my guess is Flavor Flav

You should not need to pledge to stop violating the law! That should not be part of your negotiating leverage! The fact that it seems to be is not right, and a signal that Columbia should—frankly—be punished more.
You know, the Dutch showed that you can just lock these people up. They gave these sorts of people ten-times longer sentences, and theft fell by 25%. It's that simple; it's a matter of political will. x.com/cremieuxrecuei…
A reminder: The Dutch once tried giving super-offenders ten-times longer sentences and by putting just those few people behind bars, they reduced the rate of theft by 25%.
