Here to embiggen your vocabulary with cromulent words.
Two impeachments. Two assassination attempts. And now, two presidencies. Donald Trump is one of the most significant political figures in American history. Whether anyone likes it or not.
Like I keep saying, it's very easy to just "do what everyone else does" or what the AP/Reuters/CNN dictates. Just surrender. Just costs you your integrity. Makes you part of the club.
We don't talk enough about how the mass media slips so easily into leftwing code. This is the @WSJ embracing the progressive word "unhoused" instead of homeless.
No such thing is going to happen. We can quite literally look at past gerrymandered maps from the 2010s to see that this sort of thing has minimal impact on voter preference.
Politico: Democratic poll warns GOP redistricting could cost Republicans up to 7 points in competitive seats A poll by a Democratic firm found that 63 percent of likely voters across 22 of Texas’ congressional districts think the effort to redraw lines in the GOP’s favor is…
They’ve been trying for a decade now.

There are two kinds of OLC lawyers: (1) The p(R)esident can just do things, and (2) The presi(D)ent can just do things.
Palestine isn’t viable. It’s simply the idea that Muslim Arabs have a divine right to rule the entire Middle East and eradicate everyone who isn’t a Muslim Arab.
The UK must immediately recognise Palestinian statehood. There can be no two state solution if there is no viable state left to call Palestine.
Texas is actually one of the more fair maps in America; Democrats got 40% of the House vote & 34% of House seats; reasonable Compare to California, where Republicans got 40% of the vote and 18% of the seats. Or Illinois, where GOP got **47%** of the House vote and 18% of seats
This is not democracy.
The weirdest Dem claim--because it is so easily disproven--is that somehow Dems only gerrymander in response to Republicans gerrymandering.
.@SenatorSlotkin on Republican redistricting: "If they're going to go nuclear in Texas, I'm going to go nuclear in other places. ... If they're proposing to rig the game, we're going to get in that game and fight." #AxiosLive

This was one of my very first tweets on this platform. Way, way ahead of its time.
@Redistrict So how long before the Dems start calling the VRA "anachronous" and push for repeal?
They're getting desperate cause they know they can't stop it and dem seats are already so gerrymandered that their retaliation options are limited.
I wouldn't even say it mocks either side exactly. It's a movie about how the shitty podunk people in a shitty podunk town can't process events that are much larger than they are. The point wasn't "BLM is cringe." It was "some people did extremely cringe stuff during BLM."
I tend not to read other movie critics but amazing that critics are knocking EDDINGTON because it mocks the Left (as well as the Right)
Democrats already have nearly maximally gerrymandered their big states: California 43-9 (83%) Illinois - 14-3 (82%) Massachusetts - 9-0 (100% New Jersey - 9-3 (75%) New York - 19-7 (73%) Removing the VRA would yield minimal gains, but doom at least ~10 black Southern Dems.
It’s time for Democrats to understand the existential threat. Republicans aren’t playing around and they will do this as long as it takes to keep power. It’s time we dilute VRA districts. There are plenty of Democratic districts that have 65-80% Dem performance.
Can we do some foreign aid to get A/C for Europe same as we get mosquito nets for Africa?

Drones and air defense and all that are obviously super important, but without a critical mass of infantry on the ground to hold and take territory, it’s all for nothing.
The #Phillies recalled Cristopher Sánchez for what amounted to a spot start on 6/17/23 in Oakland. Since then, here's where he ranks among all starters: Groundball rate- 2nd (57.9%) ERA- 4th (3.03) fWAR- 4th (9.9) FIP- 5th (3.15) Innings- 8th (400.2)
