hi friends. on 7/11/24 i was diagnosed with breast cancer. this has been a lot to deal with already and i’m starting treatment soon and pretty scared about it all. my friend @jasoncomix made a gofundme and i would deeply appreciate your support ❤️ gofundme.com/f/r2xcrc-suppo…
478 people were still in attendance and voting after the Frey team told their delegates to leave the Convention. That's more than what's needed for quorum. Anyone with doubts about Omar Fateh’s overwhelming endorsement by the Minneapolis DFL can be quiet now. Please & thank you.
Results for @MinneapolisDFL endorsement of candidates for Park Board At-Large. Congratulations to our endorsed candidates!
The MRLF was organizing all day for a progressive, pro-labor park board, and their slate didn't just win--they dominated. Congrats to @OlsenForParks (the only incumbent on the whole board to be endorsed), @MichaelforParks, and Amber Frederick for winning the DFL endorsement!

If the Chair of CD5 isn’t removed from the code of conduct committee and doesn’t step down as Chair after calling a Jewish man a Nazi at the Mpls Convention this weekend, don’t ask me to respect leadership. He hasn’t earned it. He’s hurting the party.
you don’t have to and probably shouldn’t listen to anyone who wasn’t at target center on saturday who wants to attempt to speak authoritatively about the convention 💕
Let's clear just ONE thing up about the DFL convention. This is a photo by smorin612 taken at 9:40 with the floor locked, in which Fred Beukama counts 331. It's about 2/3 of the room, I'm off camera left where there are abt 100 more. ANY claim there wasn't a quorum is a damn lie
The main story of this convention has got to be Frey's unpopularity. Coming into a convention with more than two-thirds of delegates seeking to replace you as mayor is a clear sign of failure. Any discussion of the process of the convention should take a backseat to this fact.
Also- those who are criticizing the volunteer co-chairs and parliamentarian need to stop. A skilled, dedicated and experienced crew led us through a complex and contentious convention. They were the right people for a difficult and heroic job and I’m grateful to them.
I wrote a thread about our campaign, how we got to winning yesterday, and the path forward. But let me just add that @aishaforward10 is one of the most brilliant political strategists in this state. Was amazing to see her pull off an incredibly smart and technical move for a win
Yesterday was a slog but I am happy to announce I was one of several pro-labor park board candidates to be endorsed!
I'm sure this has been talked to death already, but when you pull your supporters off the convention floor, you know the risk is it will flop hard. The Frey campaign isn't stupid. They decided it was worth the risk. A 2017 example: startribune.com/article/420822…
It's also just plain *wrong* to say it was the chair's judgment as to which side held their badges the highest. The judgement was of number, not of height.
even if the frey supporters hadn’t walked out, conrad wouldn’t have been able to win endorsement given they backed paula chesley, not him this is just doing paula’s work for her
INBOX: Candidate Conrad Zbikowski has challenged last night's Minneapolis Park Board endorsements w/ @MinnesotaDFL He alleges @MinneapolisDFL tellers co-mingled paper ballots while counting them, making it impossible to verify a quorum from each Park Board district
I want to congratulate @OmarFatehMN on securing the Minneapolis DFL endorsement last night. It was such a moving moment seeing your excitement after that last vote – I know you and your team put your all into making it happen.
