There is something obscene about still watching the horrific images coming out of Gaza and not doing anything like enough to stop the carnage. Governments must fall. People must revolt. If not, we die with the people of Gaza but without the courage & honour.
Just days ago a Palestinian footballer was killed while trying to get aid. Now, the Palestine Football Association confirms another: Ismail Abu Dan, of Al-Tuffah Club, killed the same way: waiting for food in Gaza. 10 footballers killed in July alone. A dark month for football.
One of the Palestinians killed today near an aid distribution point north of Rafah was Mahmoud Abu Muammar, a young footballer. 9 footballers have been killed in Gaza since the start of July. 446 in Gaza and the West Bank since Oct 2023. It took 4 days for FIFA to ban Russia.
